Boom

We’ll just borrow this from our French buddies in Fluokids, a new tune called “Boom” (releasedate June 27th) by Stockholm duo Lo-Fi-Fnk and it echoes of Daft Punk teamed up with happy go lucky Scandinavian pop.

Scion A/V presents Fluokids: Renaissance Man

The Finnish wonder duo Renaissance Man teamed up with our favorite Frenchies in Fluokids and provide the instantly addictive track “Fruit Loop” for the forthcoming Fluokids x Scion A/V Sampler. Here are the details:

“Cruisin has always been one of Fluokids favourite themes- finding the best song for the best travel. Fluokids is about being advanced and travelling faster than anyone in the music world- not looking for the next trends, but being the next trends. With the help of few of our beloved European friends this comp takes you from highway to highway on a road to the future.

Hello everyone, today we share with you the first track of the sampler we’re releasing with Scion A/V. Its kind of a big deal for us, as its the first time in 5 years that we’re gonna release something under the name FLUOKIDS. Over the fact that the word Fluokids is in the dictionnary now, the 5 tracks we’ve put together for this Scion A/V presents Fluokids sampler can be seen as a summary of 5 years of music we love, from the early electro pop song, the blog house, to the electronic music of today.

Renaissance Man were probably the most exciting band of 2009, pushing Sound Pellegrino to the top with the “What Is Guru” anthem and by reinventing the fact that techno music can be the most direct & danceable music.”

Delorean – Deli

Our favorite French label – Fool House – have done it again. Their third release is the EP “Ayrton Senna” from Barcelona electronic pop outfit Delorean. We’ve got the track “Deli”, it’s simply magnificent and can be described a little something like this:

“Deli” is one of the most beautiful, adolescent masterpieces you will have had the pleasure of hearing since “If I Ever Feel Better”. A rush to the street, under the sun, in the hope to find at the deli, enough to sustain a whole life of unconscious promises…”

PS. Pick up a summery mix from Delorean over at Fluokids.

Oh My Stars

Leo, that among other things is part of the Awesome booking agency and also the party with same name down in Berlin, just handed us this previously unreleased and absolutely lovely track from our Grindin peeps in Acid Girls. The L.A boys will be in Berlin on saturday night for the second edition of the Awesome party at Villa (other acts include CLP, Fluokids etc).

The Big Pink & Delorean

Spanish quartet Delorean remixed their favourite new band: The Big Pink and made the track “Too Young To Love” into a warm and soothing electropop jam that feels suited for a day at the beach. They’re about to drop their debut EP on Fluokids related label Fool House, the EP will include 4 tracks and they promise a myriad of remixes.

Mondkopf – Sainte

Upcoming Parisian producer Mondkopf (known for his acclaimed remixes/edits of Grand National, The Teenagers, Johnny Cash) is about to unleash his debut EP upon an unsuspecting world. The EP is called “(Declaration of) Principles” and will be released on October 4th (limited to 500 vinyl copies) by new label Fool House (run by the Fluokids who are definetely taking it up a notch). The track “Sainte” shows off Mondkopfs style which is crunchy yet beautiful techno laced with a booming beat and zapping synth melodies to create a fresh new sound coming out of France.

Thunderheist – Jerk It (Nacho Lovers remix)

Artwork by Arthur Röing

Grahm from Thunderheist just threw this our way. Two of our favorite T Dot duos in a collaboration! DJ/producers Andrew Ross and Scott Seewhale AKA Nacho Lovers provides us with an amazing stripped down and savvy techhouse remix of “Jerk It” (the EP is set to be released on July 11th), it features swirling synths but Isis swagger sounds just as deadly as on the original version.

PS. Check our French brethren in Fluokids for the equally banging Jokers Of The Scene remix.

PS 2. Aleks Discodust has the final remastered original version of “Jerk It”.
