Frankmusik is releasing his new single “Better Off As Two” on April 6th and it comes backed with this instrumental remix from duo Fan Death. They give it a stringfilled dramatic disco feel that we thoroughly enjoy, although parts of it sounds like they were lifted from X-Files.

GASH! vs. SKILLWIZARD NYE MASHUP

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

New Year is coming up and we are getting a ton of request to post flyers. If you want your flyer up on Discobelle be sure to provide an exclusive mix or a track that we can post (it’s more likely that we will post if the track is not all over every other blog).

Back to why we are making this post. GASH! and Skill Wizard have come together to put on a killer NYE warehouse party at a new venue in Dalston. Line up includes Tapedeck, Florence and the Machine (DJ), Cocadisco, Lovvers (DJ), Prancehall, Team Mega Mix, Lixo, L-Vis 1990 and more.

Tomorrow night sees one of our favorite dj’s Sinden throw a mega bash in London. The lineup for this Mega Mega Mega club night is pretty impressive with Sinden hitting the decks along with collaborator The Count + some amazing guests such as Skream, Solid Gold, Emynd & Bo Bliz and Frankmusik. To celebrate the evening we have a minimix from Sinden that features all the people involved now we just wish we could be there…

Frankmusik – 3 Little Words (Blackstrobe remix)

London, Thornton Heath to be more precise, producer/singer Frankmusik is on the verge of doing it big with the release of his smash take on 80’s electrodiscopop called “3 Little Words” (check the video here, the EP will be released on November 24th). Blackstrobe extends the track and adds more synth action, making us remember the days when “Italian Fireflies” ruled our world along with pretty much every dancefloor.

Frankmusik – 3 Little Words (video) + Boys Noize remix

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Frankmusik is releasing his “3 Little Words” EP on November 24th and here is the video for the title track. Think Tom Hanks in “Big” but more stylish and pop! The track is produced by Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers, Les Rhythmes Digitales) and is already setting up Frankmusik to be one to watch in 2009.”

BONUS: Aleks Discodust beat us to it but here’s the collaboration with German producer extraordinaire Boys Noize.

Digital love
We got a special treat for you tonight. Here’s a collaboration by Alphabeat, FrankMusik & Leon Jean-Marie when they take on Daft Punks “Digital Love” from the album “Discovery”. Trying to stay true to the original this small supergroup still manage to bring forward new dimensions and makes this into a fresh tune for your summer in love. Daft Punk took the riff from “I Love You More” by George Duke when they created the song. For me this is culture borrowing, covering, sampling, copying or answering is only natural form of human development and cultural exploration. And fun aswell.
Keep you eyes open for more from Alphabeat on discobelle.net in a near future.
