Edinburgh producer and Nightshifters affiliate Hostage goes from strength to strength with an absolutely massive output of tracks, remixes and edits. These latest two offerings, “Pirates” and “Rudeboys”, were unleashed on the unsuspecting net via the awesome people over at Discodust (where you’ll also find his aUtOdiDakT remix) yesterday. “Pirates” is full on bassline madness whereas “Rudeboys” is more in the lines of Jamaican dubstep and it’s our favorite of the two.

Jason Forrest (AKA DJ Donna Summer) runs Nightshifters together with the best lady in NYC – Jubilee – and by the looks of this mix they’ll be doing it big in 2009. The mix previews some of the exciting tracks that they’ll release in the near future. Chokeful of goodies, watch out for that Jokers Of The Scene remix at the end…It’s massive!

Nightshifters coming through with a brand new track from a Discobelle favorite, Scottish producer Hostage. Brooklyn producer, all around nice guy and killer dj AC Slater gives us his take on the track “Shake It” from Edinburgh producer Hostage. It’s driven by a wobbly bass, piano stabs and some scary ass vocals which makes this into a serious peak time banger. We did a post on Scottish producer Hostage just last week. Our friends in Nightshifters are releasing his debut EP which is full of ravey b-more sounding tunes. The “Shake It” EP can now be found on Beatport, you should definetely cop it so that you’ll be able to play all four of the banging original tracks + the remixes from AC Slater, Jackmaster in high quality at your next party. Jess Jubilee and Jason Forrest (AKA DJ Donna Summer) are running the newly started Nightshifters label and now they’re dropping a bomb with the upcoming “Shake It EP” by Scottish producer Hostage. The EP features four prime time club bangers + remixes from Palms Out homie AC Slater and Jackmaster (of Australian duo Acid Jacks). We’re glad to be able to offer you one of the cuts from the EP, “The Slave” has a bit of that b-more sound but is more of a ravey synth stabbing and wonky bass monster.
