We have another fun remix competition for you, this time it’s for Little Boots and her track “Earthquake”, which we’re presenting in association with BuggedOut. The details can be found in the picture above and the stems can be downloaded from the Soundcloud player below. Good luck!
American/Swedish trio Thieves Like Us met in Berlin, discovered a mutual interest in Hot Chip meets New Order type electropop, released the single “Drugs In My Body” on Kitsuné and then toured all over the world. Tonight, they’ll be at Babel here in Malmö for the second edition of the Tricks/Tricks/Tricks club night. This remix of the Miss Kittin track “Party In My Head” will give you an idea of what to expect.
Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip fame with a slow, lush cover of New Jersey singer Mike Bones last single “What I Have Left”. The track will be featured as a B-side on Bones’ next single release “Today The World Is Worthy Of My Loathing” which will be out May 11th on Vice Records. The cover version is perfectly suited for slow days like today.
This mix was made for the Moshi Moshi 10-years party back in October last year, so when the guys from Moshi Moshi suggested that we could give it to our readers we immediately jumped right on it. If you, like us, are fans of the label you will have a blast listening to it (there is even an unreleased exclusive Hot Chip track in there).
Truly an essential mix from Berlin based producer Jesse Rose. Also check his recent effort, the amazing single “Forget My Name” (released on Dubsided, the label run by Switch) which also features Hot Chip.
Lord Skywave is the alterego of ex-Simian man and Black Ghosts member Simon Lord. On this remix, former Hot Chip one-man band, Grovesnor, turns out a killer synth-soul boogie-disco mix for the track “I Am A Dead Man”.
BONUS: Our friends over at Discodust posted this clubready, wonky bass riddled and frantic re-fix by Andy George of another Lord Skywave track a while back, here’s “Something”.
Hot Chip collaborates with Robert Wyatt for a new version of “Made In The Dark”, quirky stuff that’s perhaps best listened to while you sit at home drinking whiskey…
The fine people over at Gomma just shot us an e-mail with the short but sweet Hot Chip radio edit of new track “TV Friend” from Danish trio WhoMadeWho + the video for the original version. The Hot Chip lads gives us a quirky and harmonic electropop take on the track.
