The Count & Sinden – Mega Mega Remix DJ Mix

The Count & Sinden’s “Mega Mega Mega” had something going for it other than its catchy repetition heavy title, touting a relentlessly powerful batch of collaborations working with an unusual lineup spanning from Katy B to Rye Rye to The Mystery Jets.

Now that a “Mega Mega Mega” remix album has been announced for August 1st, it’s as good a time as any to revisit the album, as well as preview a few of the contributions from the remix album, including some frothy treats from XXXY, Canblaster, Hot City and more wrapped nicely into a 40 minute mix by Sinden.

Too bad the mix doesn’t have any contributions from Coolio Iglesias, whose name everyone else in the universe probably wishes they’d thought of first.

“Twist and Lonely Boy” is the new release from UK group Hot City which was just released digitally by Moshi Moshi Records. The up and coming L.A/Montreal based production duo and Discobelle faves in LOL Boys hands in a twisted and ghostly remix that for sure will make you dance.

Strange Things

We just got a brand new remix of the single “Strange Things” from The Count & Sinden. The remix comes from London production duo R1 Ryders and it’s a driving funky house affair.

The pending release “Strange Things/Elephant 1234″ will be out on Domino Records as a special edition 12″ on December 7th (but available digitally right now). The 12″ also comes with remixes from Brightons finest High Rankin (“Strange Things”) and Hot City (“Elephant 1234″). More remixes to follow from Reset! and Kill Frenzy.

Freaks & Geeks

DJ Slow (AKA Myninecanpiss) from Brussels-based Freaks & Geeks crew (they throw down the top party in Brussels with their bi-monthly bonanza, So far they’ve had Martelo and fellow Grinder L-Vis 1990, forthcoming guests include Hot City and much more to be announced for 2010…) hit us up with these two mixes to promote their next party on October 23rd which will feature Parisian all around good guy DJ Koyote + the night also happens to be the birthday party for DJ Slow himself. The first mix is an exclusive garage/2-step/house/acid house mix provided by main attraction DJ Koyote and the second one is from the guys in Freaks & Geeks crew themselves. Enjoy!
