House of Wallenberg “Be Somebody” features Octavia St Laurent, star of the famous documentary Paris is Burning, which tells the story of the vogue and ball room scene of Harlem.Released alongside the radio version is the remix “Part II”, which features an additional part by the one and only Neneh Cherry.Sadly Octavia St Laurent passed away before the release of this single. To celebrate her memory, the famous vogue houses of New York, spearheaded by House of Ninja, House of Milan and House of Evisu, came together and gave an epic performance in the accompanying video directed by Petter Wallenberg himself. During filming, a homeless man came up and held an improvised speech about the meaning of being somebody, which is featured in it’s entirity in the breakdown of the video.

The single “Be Somebody” (feat. Octavia St Laurent) including the remix “Be Somebody Part II” (feat. Octavia St Laurent & Neneh Cherry) is released on iTunes, Spotify and all major digital platforms on March 18th.

House Of Wallenberg is the moniker of Swedish producer Petter Wallenberg – after his previous single “legendary” that featured the resurrection of Swedish rap diva Leila K – he returns with a new single “Be My Lover” (which you can listen to and watch over at PSL) + new EP “Legends” (to be released November 23rd) which is a prelude to the release of his debut album with the same name dropping April 2013. On the album he has worked with choice Swedish vocalists such as Efti, Leila K and rapper Mapei along with other guest artists such as Jwl B from Yo Majesty.

We here at Discobelle can give you the exclusive premiere of the track “Katastrof” that features Leila K and Mapei dueling in rapid-fire verses all while the dirty electro production swarms around them.

PS. This coming weekend there will be two releaseparties in Stockholm, first in line is the party for “Be My Lover” on Friday November 23rd at East and the day after there’ll be a party for “Legends” at Mums Mums/Strand.
