Lush sunday tune courtesy of Swedish psychedelic/kraut/cosmic disco duo Fontän. The hypnotic track “…You Too” is taken from their recently released and critically acclaimed album “Winterhwila” (released by Information which is the label of fellow Gothenburg duo Studio) which comes highly recommended by us here at Discobelle HQ.
Time for some more of that crazy psych/proggy/cosmic disco soundings from Gothenburg duo Fontän with this remix of the single track “New Moon Rising” which is taken off the new “Cosmic Egg” album by the Australian rockers in Wolfmother.
The Crépes are the new Swedish pop super duo which consists of Fredrik Lindson (½ of The Embassy) + Dan Lissvik (½ of Studio). They just released their first vinyl album “What Else?” on Information Records a couple of days ago and it almost immediately sold out (stray copies may be found over at Juno, Phonica or Piccadilly. You can also wait until August 27th for the CD/digital release). The title track – “What Else” – is not as breezy and balearic as their regular outfits but it’s a captivating piece of pop music.
Dan Lissvik is 1/2 of Gothenburg balearic disco duo known as Studio. He’s about to release his solo effort “7 Trx + Intermission” on Information in november (it will be available from the usual suspects such as Phonica, Piccadilly and Rough Trade).
This is “Track 6″, it doesn’t stray too far away from the Studio sound with a laidback feel and some sweet pitter-pattering drums. It’s almost like lush wave of wonderful and hypnotic Mediterranean disco bliss caressing your ears.
Jesper Jarold and Jonas Melin are Fontän, latest signing to Studios label Information. They’re about to release their debut 12″ “Early Morning” (remixes from A Mountain Of One and Studio) on which the duo takes us on a spaced out discorock trip.
