Jakwob showed up on our radar with his magnificent remix of Ellie Goulding (posted here) and now the young dubstep producer tries his hand on the track “A Life Worth Living” by British folk singer Alan Pownall, expect more of that wobble bass goodness.
Derek over at Neon Gold sent this to the Grindin crew yesterday. “Under The Sheets” is another huge track from British singstress Ellie Goulding and it’s shimmering pop awesomeness with Starsmith handling the production once again. This is also Ellie Gouldings debut single and it will be released by Neon Gold on November 9th. Remixes coming from Jakwob, Baby Monster, Theophilus London and a bunch more.
Our French buddy, the electro demon known as The Toxic Avenger, is about to release two new records on September 29th. A new 12″ entitled “Toxic Is Dead” (out on Iheartcomix and it comes backed with remixes from Drop The Lime, Franki Chan and South Central) and also a Scion CD sampler compilation of that includes 5 new original tracks and of course a myriade of heavy remixes from the likes of Switch, The Juan Maclean, Acid Girls, Jakwob, Designer Drugs, Harvard Bass, Ocelot, Ladytron and Burns. He is also heading out on a Scion release tour in October to support the CD sampler, stops will be NYC, Austin, Cleveland and Philly.
We’ve got the storming title track “Toxic Is Dead” + an absolutely stunning tribalistic remix from the oh so talented L.A duo Acid Girls of the track “любовь навсегда”.

Our friday just got a little better with the arrival of a promo mail containing two new remixes from Jakwob and Lifelike of the second single from UK artist Killa Kelas upcoming album “Amplified” (dropping September 21st). “Everyday” was produced by French house master Alan Braxe (co-creator of the Stardust dance anthem “Music Sounds Better With You”). The Jakwob remix sees Killa Kela getting the similar treatment as Ellie Goulding got earlier this spring where Jakwob brings it up a notch or two and bangs out a fierce dubsteppy remix track, whereas Lifelike decides to treat us to a classic sweeping synths and French house sounding remix.
This is crucial stuff, UK production newcomer Jakwob dropping an absolutely massive dubstep remix of the track “Starry Eyed” from sweet singstress Ellie Goulding (check our previous post with the original version over here).
