Our friends in Jamtech Foundation premièred their latest track on the Mad Decent blog today. We hear that their are remixes coming from Sharkslayer and So Shity on this track which is the first track to leak from their upcoming album.
Jamtech Foundation just got back from five weeks in Kingston, Jamaica working on their new album. Since their first album was one of the best of this year I can’t wait to get a chance to listen to the new one and who they got to voice it in Jamaica.
They didn’t just send me a greeting card from their time there, they also sent over their re-work of the classic track “Fade Away” by Junior Byles.
The German guys in So Shifty are back with some new heat. I love how more and more people from the dancehall scene are making the transaction over to more electronic stuff. I hope this is new beginning with Jamtech Foundation and now So Shifty. They sent over a couple of remixes this time, but I have heard some of their original tracks and they’re sounding good.
And if you are a fan of Sinden’s radio show you might have heard the “Warm Heart Of Africa” remix on his show last night.

Here is a new track from the guys in Jamtech Foundation to promote their upcoming gig in California.
“Jamtech Foundation will represent the swedish colors in California on the Swedish national day of June 6th when they will be playing Trust (that has previously had acts like AC Slater and Kill The Noise) at Proof Bar in Santa Ana Arts District. So if you are in the greater Los Angeles area, drop by!”
Big day today with the release of Jamtech Foundation’s new album on their own label Mad Viking. “V-Rocket” – alongside the new Toddla T album – is clearly in the run for album of the year. You should get your copy of the album today at iTunes or Beatport.
We’re back! Happy Holidays, and all of that. I know you hardly read the text here, so why write an essay about a track that you’re gonna download in two seconds anyway? Jamtech Foundation is up.
The first ever Jamtech Foundation album “V-Rocket” is about to drop on April 24th, but that doesn’t mean that the guys have just been working on that. They got their killer track on our Scion compilation (we’ll get it up on the site any second now) and this wonderful remix of Tenor Saw’s massive hit “Golden Hen” is out too.
Jamtech Foundation are finishing up their debut album as we speak and they sent over a track that didn’t make the final cut. Good thing for us is since that meant that it made it on to Discobelle instead. It’s Jamtech time!
This video from The Very Best boys is just what we needed to as a pick me up after the party we played last night together with Jamtech Foundation (they seriously slaughtered it, they’ll be doing it big in 2009).
“Esau Mwamwaya went back to Lelongwe, Malawi in October 2008 for the first time in 9 years. I came with him to play at the Lake Of Stars festival and to shoot this video and film his homecoming in general. We had a crazy respons from local press, radio and tv. we rehearsed at Lucius Banda’s famous ‘Summit’ venue for 3 days with local dancers. We went to see the live venue where Esau’s music career started ‘Village Lodge’, and we hung out with Esau’s family and their neighbours outside of Lelongwe. Most of the kids dancing in the video is Esau’s brothers and all their neighbours kids. They all new all the words by the time we got there, very cute! We played Lake Of Stars festival, which argubly might be the best festival in the world. Ive been meaning to edit all the material since then but havnt had time. Now ive finally manged to sit down and do it and hopefully you’ll like it and get a little bit of insight into what Esau Mwamwaya is up to in Malawi at the moment.”
Oh yeah, grab that excellent The Very Best mixtape over here.
Time to do a gig in Stockholm. We love to be back in the capital of Sweden again. This time we will be DJing with Jamtech Foundation at Grodan. So if you are in town, be sure to drop by and say hello. As always we will be updating our tour blog with pictures.
