Tight Silk is the new project from Stockholm based Josefine Fagerström (previously of postpunk outfit The Je Ne Sais Quoi and playing with Swedish singstress Jenny Wilson), inspiration comes from the catchiest tunes of late eghties Chicago house and with a touch of that gloomy Nordic disco.

Between visits to New York (where she recently played at the CMJ festival and a Fader-party), Paris and Copenhagen, Jenny Wilson took the time to shake up some remixes for new single “Pass Me The Salt” which is featured on her recent jaw dropping album “Hardships”. The single will be out January 13th as a 12″ and digital maxi with remixes. The track features the fabolous Mapei who drops in for some cooler than thou rapping. This is the first remix to emerge, it comes from Stockholm duo Front Of House and is one funky affair.

Swedish techno duo Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid did a Mixin’ It Up for us here at Discobelle (under their Pickpocket moniker) back in the day before moving onto bigger things. They recently helped out with Fever Rays debut album but also managed to find the time to work with singer Jenny Wilson, this is their remix of the first single “The Wooden Chair” which is taken off her upcoming sophomore album “Hardships!”. The remix gives us dark and moody techno with a tribal touch.
