On Friday September 7th we receive another edition of the Poolside series from Toolroom Records. “Poolside Ibiza 2018” is basically your essential collection of summer tracks to soundtrack those long hazy days spent by the pool, two very talented DJs were recruited to mix this year’s edition. They both hail from Portugal – Moullinex and Xinobi (the pair have releases on labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Nervous, Gomma, Anjunadeep) and they might just be two of the biggest artists in the indie dance/nu-disco world

The 40 tracks from a whole host of A-List DJs and producers including Moullinex, Xinobi, Eli & Fur, Moon Boots, Tensnake, Booka Shade, Hot Toddy, Art Of Tones, Cavego, Perel, Mambo Brothers, NTEIBINT, Justin Jay, Franky Rizardo, Bruxas, David Hohme, Moscoman, Simple Symmetry, Ali Kuru and many more alongside a brand new exclusive from Boys Get Hurt with Moullinex & Xinobi’s two full length DJ mixes completing the package.

We at Discobelle can offer up the premiere of the track “Lost & Found” from Tokyo based producer Boys Get Hurt that features Tiago on vocals, it’s a superbly warm and sparking sounding House tune! Sit back, relax and unwind with Toolroom’s Poolside album.

Los Angeles producer, Justin Jay, drops his latest single, “Can’t Complain,” on Black Butter Records and he’s brought his friends Josh Taylor and Benny Bridges along for the ride. A burning, moody groove sets the tone for delayed vocals and twangy guitar riffs to flitter upon while the sum of each part equals a surefire, future anthem as we head into the summer months. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Justin’s forthcoming album, Fantastic Voyage, out later this year.

We took a little break from scouring the corners of the internet to face the desert resort town that is Palm Springs. Admittedly, we music writers prefer prowling out to dark clubs when the moon is full instead of spending two full days under the sun, but we fell in love with the friendly people, great vibes, and stunning sets. Although we loved every act that was playing, there were some really great performances from a spectacular few. Check out our favorite DJ’s from the weekend, and let us know who you enjoyed!

The time has come, it’s SPLASH HOUSE SEASON.

For those of you out of the loop, Splash House is a bi-annual festival that takes place in Palm Springs and spans over three hotels around the city to create the ultimate summer party. With the festival just around the corner, we thought we’d put together a little playlist to highlight some artists we’re extra excited to see. If you like what you hear, go on and check out the rest of the lineup and purchase tickets over on their website.

Now let’s get wavy y’all.

This past weekend saw rising Los Angeles producer Justin Jay making his debut Coachella appearance at Do LaB and today he shares a new original single “Mind Games,” which premiered with Annie Mac’s Free Music Monday. “Mind Games” is a single two years in the making. Full of funky, feel-good vibes, “Mind Games” got its first spin at the Dirtybird BBQ during WMC and has been a staple in Justin’s sets ever since. Be sure to grab the free download below!

This week 21-year-old Justin Jay releases his “Momentum” EP via Catz’ ‘N Dogz’ Pets Recordings. This collection of three tracks were all produced in Justin’s University of Southern California bedroom and includes a collaboration with fellow Dirtybird artist Kill Frenzy. All three tracks showcase Justin’s affinity for driving, warehouse ready house music and each buzzes with mood-elevating synth work.

Take a listen to the “Momentum” EP below and be sure to buy it on Beatport.

Dirtybird artist and deep house mover and shaker Justin Jay this week announces a new EP “Momentum” and shares a first cut “You Give Me Butterflies.” It’s hard to believe that Justin is only 21 years old and still in college at University of Southern California with already three EPs under his belt, but there it is. The rising talent continues to prove that he has an ear for creating hypnotizing tracks and we personally can’t wait to hear more from “Momentum” before its official release date later this month on March 16th.

The 1988 single “Mother” from metal band Danzig gets an unexpectedly amazing rework from new house producer Wave Age. Hailing from DC, Wave Age was founded on a love for big bass and house music and draws influences from the sounds of Justin Jay, Friend Within, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. This remix of Danzig’s “Mother” is chock full of hypnotic bass and we love it so much.
