Is there anything that the Anjuna crew release that ISN’T bliss? “Aba” is out now, the newest single from label mainstay Lane 8 and collaborator Kidnap Kid. The two have individually emerged as some of electronic music’s most exciting talents in recent years, carving out stellar reputations with their unique melodic approaches. “Aba” is deep house in its purest form and it’s the perfect song to get your week started off on the right foot. Grab “Aba” on Spotify.

Having racked up 10 million streams for “Moments”, UK producer Kidnap Kid drops another stellar offering via his own label Birds That Fly.

The “Brokenhearted” EP will be released October 28th and the B-side track “Mist” is filled with lush and dreamlike house sounds.

“Brokenhearted is a reaction to the immense sadness in the world. My way of processing endless tragedy and distant despair. Mist, on the other hand, is a more hopeful response; a faraway light at the end of the tunnel”

Black Butter Records, a UK label constructing a mopey little edifice with signings such as Kidnap Kid and Joel Compass, are taking bets on Solomon Grey. The BBC’s trained parrot Zane Lowe just enjoyed a cracker and is tipping this duo for future BBC Radio One dominance. Discobelle’s online contemporaries are similarly all collecting a number and joining the queue – comments like ‘hauntingly beautiful’ and ‘lovelorn’ and ‘gee, this is pretty good music’ can be heard wafting over the assembly.

Is it good? Is it bad? Could you craft a seaworthy vessel out of it? We love it, but stream away yourself and let us know your take.
