Pocz & Pacheko – Tuki Love (video)

With the release of “Hard Ass Sessions Vol. V” (dropping in April with contributions from Kingdom, Poirier, Bert On Beats and Pocz & Pacheko etc.), portuguese label Enchufada further deepens their reign of releasing bass pounding and booty rattling kuduro compilations which sole mission is to make you get down and dirty. Check this video for the Pocz & Pacheko track “Tuki Love” for inspiration…

Jacques Greene – Tell Me (Kingdom Edit)

Kingdom throws some throbbing percussion underneath the sleeper hit from Jacques Greene’s “The Look” EP, and then builds an entirely separate vocal sample that’s integrated seamlessly from the original one. It doesn’t hurt that the original of “Tell Me” is already a pulsating, hypnotic gem. As someone who’s listened to the original of the track so many times that it’s etched into my brain, I thought the changes were pretty small at first; but halfway through something shifts and it becomes a totally new thing.

Scotland based label LuckyMe are building an army of talent who you’ll probably keep hearing rave reviews about throughout 2011; Jacques is only one member of a much bigger creative family that’s worth getting familiar with. If somehow you missed Greene’s debut EP on LuckyMe, grab it and hold it close to you throughout the night.

Automatik / Jim Jones – Go Cinderella (Kingdom Edit)

Kingdom’s latest release on Night Slugs was amazing for the eerie, mist filed forest dance floor vibe that it conjured up, but there’s something I find almost even more exciting about the superb edits of mainstream tracks that he’s been putting out regularly.

Often showing his influences in a more direct way, these edits aren’t afraid to substantially rework the tracks, whether that means cutting Kanye & Jay Z out of “Monster”, taking Sean Kingston out of his duet with Nicki Minaj, or in this case taking out all the rapping and just leaving in a trancelike synth line and Jim Jones hoarsely yelling “I need y’all to rewind this and play it from the top!” Will do, Jim Jones. Will do.

Rizzla + D’HANA January “NU LIFE” Mix

Describing your party as “agressive, over-educated, banjee cvnt, urban underground pop music, queer global bass” is maybe the best possible combination of words that language can offer.

And the latest mix from Chub Rub resident DJs D’HANA and Rizzla doesn’t disappoint – it’s a jaw dropping onslaught of vogue snippets and global bass music, with everything from an exclusive re-edit of Girl Unit’s “Wut”, to a Moombahton edit of Guido’s “Mad Sax” to a whole bunch of material from Total Freedom, Kingdom and more. Serious vibes.

Kingdom – World Tour November 2010

NYC producer Kingdom is out on the road for a November world tour (well, actually more of a US/Europe tour).

He made a special tour mixtape so that those of you that unfortunately couldn’t catch him will have something dope to listen to and those of you that are able to see him will have a little something to remind you of that sweaty, bassfilled night somewhere.

Hottest In America

NYC producer Kingdom fires off a mindblowing dub version of his already huge bootleg version “Hottest In America” of the track “Letting Go” (Sean Kingston featuring Nicki Minaj).

Don’t forget to check out the just released vinyl version of his recent Night Slugs release “That Mystic”, one of our favorite EPs of 2010.
