Luca Venezia AKA Drop The Lime AKA Curses! has constantly been killing it, no matter what alter ego he uses. “The Deep End” (will be released by Institubes in March) sees him churn out a disco/house rocker with the infectious vocals of NYC singstress Maggie Horn and now fellow NYC duo Holy Ghost! comes along and turns it into an epic 8 minute burner and also adding the lovely Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem/Juan MacLean fame) to the mix.

Steve Kream AKA Mr Krudmart just finished his LCD Soundsystem beefed up remix of the classic R.E.M. hit track “Nightswimming” which sees the original ballad transformed into a subtle, tasteful and more clubfriendly version that we’d gladly drop at the end of the night.

The classic French house duo Cassius just finished their “Cassius Play” mix for Nike+ (you might remember the much talked about LCD Soundsystem “45:33″ mix in the same series, the idea is to make a continous track that would suit runners ie music fitting for a 7 min warm up, 30 min run and 7 min cool down). We here at Discobelle received a promo package with a video and two excerpts from the mix.
