A beautiful slice of modern funk and disco from Hamburg based, Lovebirds, finally see’s the light of day on his very own imprint, Teardrop Records. Coupled with remixes from Lovebirds himself and Glenn Astro, plus a b-side collabo with Syncopix, this makes for one hot package! And if you happened to miss his stunning release for Brooklyn’s own, Razor-N-Tape, peep that here.

New York edit dons, Razor-N-Tape Records, release their 7th installment of 12″, scalpel versions and it’s as smooth as Bond, James Bond. With Hamburg based producer, Lovebirds, providing three fantastic cuts to satisfy your boogie needs, we kick things off with ‘Funk So Pretty,’ an extended re-rub of The Purple One’s most ‘erotic’ cut to date.

Next up is the heavy swung romp of ‘Free (Lovebirds Beautiful Rework),’ which twists a forgotten, jazz-pop masterpiece into the perfect soundtrack for your most blissful dance-floor moments. Closer, ‘Donwanchooback,’ is an anthemic take on Ramona Banks’ ‘I Don’t Want You Back,’ and brings this staple disco tune into perfect DJ territory with it’s extended phrases, dubby flourishes and gallons of laser-beams.
