Grahmzilla – F*ck Winter

Grahm AKA Grahmzilla or Nautiluss is our go to dj/producer in Toronto when it comes to all things bass. He’s just about to embark on a tour aptly titled “F*ck Winter” (that includes a few Red Bull Music Academy dates with Lunice, Jacques Greene et al) and to promote this extravaganza he decided to do mix that takes us on a rollercoaster of a ride that can best be described the equivalent of a smashing dance party.

Diamond K & Al Ripken Jr – Hands In The Air (Cobra Krames remix)

I wanna scream BALTIMORE!!!, In my heart my second home. Long time has passed without some proper B-more here on Discobelle but now Diamond K and Al Ripken Jr gets our “Hands Up In the Air” once more! Whos running this club? Probably Top Billin with this new release “Hands In The Air EP” and as always they bring out the big guns. Reloading this time is Night Slugs own big boss Bok Bok, Montreal’s beat wonderboy Lunice and Finnish dubstep champ Tes La Rok, under his more funky alias Trusta, is flipping the B-side “Single Ladies Single Fellas”. Finally we got our Awesome Agency colleague Cobra Krames and we got his remix for free download below and it gives the original a somewhat more caribbean feel.

Buy the EP on Juno!

The XX x 2

British quartet The XX have taken the blogs and also the lovely Grindin crowd by storm, well deserved of course with their timid and beautiful electropop. Here’s two remixes of the single track “Basic Space” (released digitally next week), the first one comes courtesy of Astronomer (maybe better known as Alex Egan of Skull Juice fame), the second remix comes from Montreal producer/dj Lunice. Both of them transports the track towards the dancefloor but they go about in quite different ways where Lunice glitches it up while the Astronomer extends it to almost 7 minutes throwing in some bass, handclaps and synths making it more of a set opener.
