Time for a new remix competition and a pretty rare occasion to get big very quick in the techno game. The winner will be released on Jesse Roses own label Made to Play!

Here are the basics: Download the remix package for Riva Starrs upcoming track “I Was Drunk”. Be creative, show off your mad ideas and send the results over to us. Entries should be in a 320 bit mp3s and submitted to the Made To Play Dropbox with the prefix “Riva Starr Remix Contest” before the track title. Deadline is November 13th.

The winner will be announced mid-December here on Discobelle and the winning remix will then be sold on Beatport as part of the second single!

Promo video featuring two tracks from Riva Starrs upcoming release “If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade” which will be out in September on Made To Play.

The top rollers over at the Curb Crawlers blog just posted this mix from unruly London duo Zombie Disco Squad, who are already miles ahead of the competion with a slew of fine releases dropping this year on Sound Pellegrino, Made To Play, Dirtybird Records etc. + a residency at Panorama Bar in Berlin. This mix makes us wanna jack it like a zombie, preferably in a dark after hours club somewhere…

Today we celebrate Nathaniel Selfs birthday!! He is throwing a b-day bash in London tonight with a solid lineup! Congratulation homie! Sorry, I can’t be there today.

Zombie Disco Squad and Solo did this banging mix to celebrate their new release on Dirty Bird. The EP is called “Congo Fire” and it came out yesterday on Beatport.

ZDS have also done some exclusive blends to encourage people to join their mailing list – basically you send a email to zdsmailinglist@gmail.com and get a auto reply with two blends/bootlegs. Members of their Facebook group are going to get an amazing exclusive very soon as well.

Solo is about to drop a new EP on Deadfish (Mowgli’s imprint) witch features remixes from Riva Starr & Nat Self – Solo has also done a remix of one of the ZDS tracks on their new EP on Institubes sister label Sound Pelegrino.

You should also check out the new ZDS EP on Made To Play (they will be releasing exclusively on Made To Play for the rest of the year and hold a residency at the M2P night at Panorama Bar in Berlin).

Riva Starr just made the Top 20 players 2008 list in IDJ Magazine. To celebrate, here’s his reworking of the track “Generation Noize” from Dutch house guru Laidback Luke. Riva goes funky on this one and it’s perfect for warming up to a night of dancing.

Riva Starr just did a podcast/mix for the Berlinbased label Made To Play (run by Jesse Rose). It was done to promote the launch of his new 12″ which will be released by Made To Play in mid October. The funky jacking house mix contains teasers from the upcoming 12″ and also some exclusive goodies such as a preview of Rivas “Black Betty” bootleg and also his Fatboy Slim remix (which has already been played twice by Pete Tong over the weekend).
