Tropical Bomb

João Brasil is considered the mash-up king of Rio, his debut single on Man Recordings, “L.O.V.E. Banana” that features vocals from Lovefoxxx (of CSS fame) just dropped and it’s a sure fire summer smash. In preparation for the release he decided to give out the lambada styled track “Tropical Bomb”.

“João wrote “Tropical Bomb” last winter when preparing tracks for his debut EP on Man Recordings. then J-Lo came out with “On The Floor” and we decided to not release “tropical bomb”, as she kind of stole the show using the “lambada” melody. When writing about the “lambada” story we decided to give away “Tropical Bomb” as a free track to promote the EP.”

Man FM 008 – 3Ball MTY Crew

The winter here in Southern Sweden has turned from a blinding white into a drab grey with a touch of fog, it feels like we haven’t seen the sun for months so it’s a good thing that we get a mix like this one to cheer us up. This 1 1/2 hour exclusive and bouncing mix comes courtesy of the Man Recordings podcast series and features three young 3Ball MTY production wizards, more specifically Erick Rincon, DJ Otto and Sheeqo Beat along with their mentor Toy Selectah. Monterey and Mexico taking over.

Clotheslines

Tim Wagner of 33Hz is the man behind exciting new NYC based label Dither Down, who are about to release the “Clotheslines EP” from NYC singstress Saadi that features remixes from Daniel Haaksman, Douster, Lazy Flow and more. The Daniel Haaksman remix has already garnered well deserved praise from among others Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team and we’re happy to be giving it away as a Discobelle exclusive. The Man Recordings head honcho chips in some bubbling acid samba with his remix, which propells it straight to the dancefloor.

Erick Rincon

Daniel Haaksman just posted this Erick Rincon mix over at the Man Recordings blog and here’s what he had to say:

“Though 2010 is not over yet, it´s clear what music style has inspired me the most this year: Tribal Guarachero from Monterrey. Any party I played recently, it was the Guarachero tracks that murdered the dancefloor. Though the shuffle groove of Monterrey´s DJ kids is not an easy task for the average 4/4 dancer, there´s no escaping when the thundering “Cumbia-Schranz” (an analogy to die-hard-German-rave music) is banged out. Check Erick Rincons latest mixtape to feel what I mean, including Erick Rincon´s Guarachero reworks of Drop The Lime´s “Sex Sax” and Schlachthofbronx´s “Mad Instrument”. The mix is courtesy of Nrmal and their Adiós Gilipollas Podcasts.”

Perfect way to start off a monday morning.
