We’ve got another exclusive for you, the boys in Dada Life (who are currently touring the US with Tiësto) dropping a handclap filled electro bomb with their remix of new Maskinen single “Dansa Med Vapen” (we posted the video a few weeks ago). Maskinen will release their debut album “Boys II Men” on November 18th, beware…
After almost a year of constant touring all over the world – including Brazil, the US and Scandinavia + an inspirational trip to Brazil – hyped and boombastic Swedish dancefloor destroyers Maskinen are back with the funky, tribalistic new single “Dansa Med Vapen” (released last week and can be purchased here). The single was produced by Johan Hugo (of Radioclit and The Very Best fame) and features Marina (ex-vocalist for Brazilian phenomena Bonde Do Role). The much anticipated debut album from Maskinen is entitled “Boys II Men” and it will be released by Pope Records on November 4th, production on the album comes from a bunch of top names such as Style Of Eye, DJ Gorky, Edu K, Filthy etc etc.
The Dada Life boys with their first Guerilla Fart edit of 2009 (they’ve reached number 8 and it’s an updated edit of The Timelords/KLF track “Doctorin The Tardis” which was a UK chart topper back in 1988) and also with their first mix of 2009.
The mix contains among others a brand new track from Malente, a Dada Life produced Maskinen track and their own single “Rubber Band Boogie”, the whole thing executed in the traditional banging Dada Life style. Also, they’re releasing the first single “Happy Hands & Happy Feet in a few weeks, it’s taken from their upcoming album “Just Do the Dada” which will drop later in 2009.
Lots of nice NYE parties everywhere. If you are in Gothenburg I guess this is the place to be! Stuffa is gonna be there and treat everyone to a game of table tennis. And they give us this bouncy version of the Swedish electro/baile mashed track.
There is a new Timbuktu album coming out on the 5th of November called ”En high 5 & 1 Falafel”. The first track we heard from the album was released on the famous Swedish site Pirate Bay and was not what I expected at all. On this second leak from the album he gets some help from Frej (Slagsmålsklubben, Maskinen & Far & Son) and Supreme (Looptroop) and if you like the sound of Maskinen and Far & Son you will be a fan of this track too. But I can’t help but to feel that Timbuktu gets killed on his own track here and Timbuktu aint bad on it. Looking forward to this album, it seems to be a lot different from what we heard from Timbuktu before.
Far & Son is the latest project from Frej (who is also involved with Slagsmålsklubben and the Maskinen project), here he joins forces with Simon Gärdenfors. Signed to the Hybris label it’s a bit similar to Maskinen with it’s partylaced electro/hip hop beat and frantic rapping in Swedish, this is entertaining and fun stuff.
We got a new track from Swedish Henok Achido to give away today. I think Henok grows on every track we get from him and this time he also got help from an extraordinary beat that’s produced by Filthy (Afasi & Filthy, Maskinen). Looking forward to more stuff from him.
