The “Theatrical Techno Illustrated” album from Tokyo Offshore Project (the brainchild of Japanese musician Kiyoshi Miyaura alongside UK house pioneers Frankie Valentine and Simon Lovejoy, between the two of them Simon and Frankie have produced with huge names such as Björk, Carl Cox, Orbital and DJ Harvey) and it’s a collection of 11 rare and unreleased tracks from the UK house pioneers which were recorded between 1990-1995.

To celebrate the release which dropped on March 9th via Mental Groove Records, Simon Lovejoy has put together an exclusive and amazing mix for us in Discobelle consisting purely of rare 90s electronica.

“For this first episode of a series of mini-compilations curated by Mental Groove’s most cherished artists, trend defying duo Radioclit pick their favorite youngster producers and let them paint their own picture of Africa. The Fader-favorite Douster, über-productive Frenchy Lazy Flow and Myd deliver a collection of dancefloor anthem and the perfect balance between African funk and heat-inducing house. Radioclit, still burning hot from producing the monumental The Very Best album, add a bomb ass bonus.”

We can’t wait for this to drop, looks set to be amazing.

The Radioclit “Secousse 2” remix EP was just released on Mental Groove Records, it’s a mighty package that features the All Stars Vocal version + dub and remixes from juke legend Gant-Man, French wonder Brodinski, Italian/British master Riva Starr, the Swiss heroes Wildlife and Round Table Knights + Mad Decents very own Paul Devro! To celebrate the release, they’re giving away some unreleased mixes of the track. First out is this bleepy yet still with that tropical flavour version by Etan (AKA Shuttle, Ninja Tune)

You should also try to get your mitts on the deluxe fur & limited numbered vinyl edition (of 500) which can be found exclusively here.

Those fine lads in Radioclit just dropped another joint on us. Their killer “Secousse EP” was just released on Mental Groove Records (highly recommended, just check the promo mix) and some of y’all might have heard the Crookers remix that’s been floating around (check Hype Machine).

This remix was made by UK dj/producer Mumdance and it’s one funky number that will surely make you bounce. Grab it directly from Fairtilizer:

French producer/dj Don Rimini has been destroying dancefloors for some time now and he’s also been featured here on Discobelle numerous times. His latest effort is an EP entitled “Kick N Run”, which was just released digitally (the vinyl will drop on July 21st) on fresh label Mental Groove Records. The EP has received solid support from the likes of Sinden, Crookers, Trevor Loveys, The Bloody Beetroots, JFK from MSTRKRFT etc. We proudly present the track “Rave On” and a teaser with all the tracks from the EP. “Rave On” is one ghetto/house monster of a track (Sinden used it as a opener on his recent We Make it Good mix), and as the name suggest it features some ravey synthstabs along with chopped up vocals.
