Sunny

Mercury down in Switzerland contacted us with their latest edit where they take on the legendary Marvin Gaye for a perfect edit that subtly adds an extended beat for a light and heartwarming track that maintains the soul of the original. We will be playing this repeatedly during the upcoming holidays.

FEX FELLINI – NEW ORLEANS

Fex Fellini brings a new EP on his Globelle imprint, bringing together three sounds from localized dance music centers of the world. The guitar tinged techy romper “New Orleans” matches the sweaty, gasping-for-breath feeling of “Mumbai” in terms of energy, but “Barcelona” gets a bit deeper and weirder, with a submerged sonar frequency that makes the rusty horns sounding off underneath. It’s no surprise that it’s already garnered big feedback from folks like Claude Von Stroke, Zombie Nation, Round Table Knights and more.

Listen to a sampler of the EP here, and then also observe this very fresh Top Billin mix Fex recently dropped on the world, which features some serious heat from LOL Boys, Mercury, Joyce Muniz & Luca Lozano.

BONUS:

Fex did us the honor of sharing a radio edit of “New Orleans” not available to buy anywhere for your jacking house listening pleasure.

Mercury – Chicago’s Finest re-edited

The Swiss duo in Mercury have been on fire lately with numerous remixes and mixes. Here’s another treat from them with some of the finer moments of Chicago house re-edited.

“An old wisdom says: “Knowledge is the foundation of all things. Wisdom is the manifestation of knowledge.” In this spirit we studied the history of House music and, as an exercise and manifestation of what we have learned, re-edited House tracks by Steve “Silk” Hurley (Voices of Life), Cajmere and Ralphi Rosario with the objective of making them sound classic and fresh at the same time. As we feel enthusiastic about the result of our exercise and love the idea of a Chicago House renaissance on contemporary dancefloors we want to share what we call “Chicago’s Finest Re-Edited”.”

Number One Kid

Mr Mel Mercury from Switzerland hit us up with their latest mix “From Warehouse To Paradise” only a week ago and here’s their new remix of the single track “Number One Kid” (released last week by Mouthwatering Records) from fellow Swiss duo Filewile. This techhousey remix is one for those late night/early morning sets in warehouses where the big break will do wonders.
