On Friday September 7th we receive another edition of the Poolside series from Toolroom Records. “Poolside Ibiza 2018” is basically your essential collection of summer tracks to soundtrack those long hazy days spent by the pool, two very talented DJs were recruited to mix this year’s edition. They both hail from Portugal – Moullinex and Xinobi (the pair have releases on labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Nervous, Gomma, Anjunadeep) and they might just be two of the biggest artists in the indie dance/nu-disco world
The 40 tracks from a whole host of A-List DJs and producers including Moullinex, Xinobi, Eli & Fur, Moon Boots, Tensnake, Booka Shade, Hot Toddy, Art Of Tones, Cavego, Perel, Mambo Brothers, NTEIBINT, Justin Jay, Franky Rizardo, Bruxas, David Hohme, Moscoman, Simple Symmetry, Ali Kuru and many more alongside a brand new exclusive from Boys Get Hurt with Moullinex & Xinobi’s two full length DJ mixes completing the package.

German duo Milk & Sugar (Mike Kay and Steven Harding) formed back in 1997 and are considered legends within the dance music scene, they’ve performed globally alongside dance music royalty such as Frankie Knuckles and David Morales, remixed the likes of Jamiroquai, Janet Jackson & Ben Pearce, and have continued to supply dance floors with a steady stream of powerful hits, both via their own imprint and on revered labels such as Enormous Tunes, Positiva, Ministry of Sound and many more.
Now they start off 2018 with the release of new single “House Dimension” (via their own label Milk & Sugar Recordings) which drops on Beatport, Traxsource, and Spotify on March 9th (pre-order here), and officially on all platforms on March 23rd. The track is showcased as an exclusive premiere right here on Discobelle and boasts all of the sonic elements that have cemented Milk & Sugarâ€™s status as one of most renowned acts in house music, with an undeniably infectious groove that is perfectly combined with a rousing spoken word performance from Chicago based DJ/songwriter/producer Ron Carroll.
The next release on UK dance music label Love & Other comes courtesy of Bristol producer/dj GotSome who has released a handful of records on the likes of Defected, Zoo Music, This Ainâ€™t Bristol and most recently Nothing Else Matters/Ministry of Sound. His “Mystify EP” drops on Friday June 2nd.
We here at Discobelle can premiere the B-side track “Iron & Concrete” which projects a high-energy funnel of sound with itâ€™s jacked up drums, fierce and bassy low end and complimentary vocal refrain.
UK house producer Sandy Turnbull has had a pretty amazing 2016 with the release his latest EP “After Comiskey Park” which picked up some prestigious spots including Mixmag Tune of The Month and DMC Single of The Week. He recently completed a DJ mix for Ministry of Sound that stated it was “one of the best” theyâ€™ve published this year and he just completed this rolling disco reworking of the Jamiroquai track “Canned Heat” which we can premiere right here on Discobelle.
