Bawrut is an old friend of ours here at Discobelle, an Italian born producer/dj that nowadays calls Madrid home, a city where he’s started up his own label Silencio (which has already garnered attention of house music aficionados worldwide with a series of strong releases).

This exclusive mix for us here at Discobelle is a full on acidic/Chicago house assault filled with a spectacular groove and some serious tribal elements which will most likely have you forget all about Christmas and instead go search for a club where you can dance til you can’t stand up anymore.

PS. Bawrut’s new EP ” Rumba” was premiered by Boiler Room about two months ago and will be out on Ransom Note Rec end of January 2017. All the 3 tracks are included in the mixtape, check out the title track below.

Berlin based producer/dj Nhan Solo (who also spearheads prominent label Mother Recordings) got some Scandinavian hype going with a mix offering dropping both over at our extended fam in HMWL and with us here at Discobelle during the same week.

This mix of only Mother Recordings tracks is the perfect beacon of warm sounding and soulful house to make us last through what seems like an everlasting period of of darkness, 1 hour of vibesfilled tunes in a flawless and superbly solid flow.

Leon Else – Dance

Nov 21 2016

Leon Else is a new name on my radar this week. The British-born musician and trained dancer put out a groovy single called “Dance” in order to reflect how music can be a form of therapy and I can’t quite tell if I like the song or the video better – they’re both incredible. When asked about “Dance,” Else had this to say: “The song is about dancing as a way to make depression go away,” says Else of the new track. “It is about how music can be like medicine and finding ways to get through life by yourself. For me, that’s moving and being physical.”

Jorge Cruz of Trax Records/Weare18 fame drops a mixtape of all out cumbia and this is our go to mix for a depressing Monday morning.

“I was supposed to be in el DF but instead I decided to move to L.A. I can’t help but to yearn for those nights out, getting off to go to Amberes to that little club in the afternoon.

I miss dancing with a crowd. I miss those afternoons. I miss dancing on the streets while my grandma sat and watched.

For now this little slice will have to suffice. It’s not the same. Pero — ahi vamos.”

Hyped UK based house/bass dj/producer Ray Sargent has been receiving praise from the likes of Complex UK and numerous music blogs as well as BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra plays in the last months and he is the latest in line to step up for an exclusive Discobelle mix. This debut mix is equally eclectic and amazing and he describes it as: A soundtrack to London summer.

“This mix includes some of my new music and a collection of what I’m getting off on at the moment, along with exclusive bootlegs I’ve collected and created over the past few months. It twists and turns from a summery House, Pop vibe into unexpected Bassline, RnB and Soulful territories.”

Tracklist for the mix can be found after the jump.
