Turning their subject matter from the backroom of seedy Brooklyn peepshows to flea markets full of old clothes, In Flagranti’s “Worse For Wear” EP takes a chunk of vintage fetishism and mixes it with Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor’s interest in old disco / new disco sounds. In addition to having the first In Flagranti album cover in years that you can show your mom without making her faint, it’s also got remixes from Mixhell and a particularly good effort from London’s fashion minded Punks Jump Up.

They take the sewer grate hiss and handclaps of the original and throw some cowbell into the mix, while still leaving the pitched down churning vocals from the indiscriminately gendered singer. The end product sounds like how wearing a dirty shirt feels sometimes: gross, but way too comfortable to change into anything else.

The long anticipated debut of Mixhell just dropped. Newly married Igor Cavalera (Ex-Sepultura) and Laima Leyton drops a baile influenced clubgroove with guest vocals from Oh Snap! and Jen Lasher of Baltimore. Brazilian husband/wife duo Mixhell (Iggor and Lalma Cavalera) have gone from strength to strength in the past year and are now in demand remixers for some of the hottest acts around. This is their mix for the Mishka Keep Watch mix series and it’s something of an electro storm that’s guaranteed to bring the house down.
