The Presets – Kicking And Screaming (Bang Gang’s E is for Edit)
Saturday, October 25th, 2008
Aussie crew The Bang Gang Deejays follow up their “Light Sound Dance” mixcd that came out last year with a double disc monster called “D Is For Disco, E Is For Dancing” (released on Modular).
To promote the release they’re offering up their take of the track “Kicking And Screaming” originally done by fellow Australian group The Presets. They try their hand on this with some added pizzazz and flair with among other things the occasional breakdown all while maintaining a pretty nasty synthline.

Bumblebeez – Rio (Etienne de Crecy remix)
Thursday, August 7th, 2008
The new digital only album “Prince Umberto And The Sister Of Ill” by Australian brother-sister duo The Bumblebeez came out yesterday in the US (it was recorded and produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco fame). (You can stream the full album over at RCRD LBL).
The fine people over at Modular brought out the big guns in the form of Crookers, Herve and Etienne De Crecy to remix the single “Rio”. We got the Etienne De Crecy remix and it’s a techhousey take on the electropop party feeling of the original version.

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008Van She video and mixtape
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008The debut Van She album “V” will be released on August 9th on Modular and the lads are busy promoting the upcoming relase with some single releases. Here’s the video for the latest one which it’s called “Changes” (will be released digitally on August 25th).
“To follow up on the alternate smash of a first single “Strangers”, the next official release will be the swingin’ future vintage that is “Changes”. With its sexy bass lines and infectious guitar laden melodies, the boy’s deliver another sure classic just the way we expect it. “Changes” is a snapshot of candid late night tales of what the Van She boys get up to while on tour and is a perfect soundtrack to the reminiscing of nights gone by, beautifully put together by Kasia Werstak. The track is full of typical Van She fervor, laying out indications of the past & respectful nod-of-the-head to the future with the band’s next youth-anthem, which will come accompanied by some very special remixes.”
