ceo – Illuminata (D Lissvik remix)

ceo is Eric Berglund, one half of the Tough Alliance and this is the epilogue to his 2010 album “White Magic”. Scandinavian electropop at its finest and Dan Lissvik soothes our ears with a glistening, balearic sounding gem of a remix.

Experimental New York based production genius Nicolas Jaar remixes new single “W.O.W” by Australian outfit Architecture In Helsinki, and he brings out a remix less inclined for the club and more aimed towards strutting along with this playing in your headphones. He keeps the sunny feel of the original but with the help of the repeated vocals and soothing piano lines warps the track into an instantly likeable popesque ditty. Not Over

Those crazy Australians in Bag Raiders have been with us here in Discobelle from the start, remember their epic Mixin’ It Up? Now, they’ve gone on to touring the world and release singles like “Not Over” where they enlist dancefloor aficionados such as NYC legend Eli Escobar and Swedish mad man Tony Senghore to handle remix duties. Luckily for us – and for you – is that Modular decided to hand out the excellent pianolaced, popdisco remix from Eli Escobar for free which you’re more than welcome to grab below!

Modcast #76 – The Rapture

NYC originators of punk/funk The Rapture will release their new album “In The Grace of Your Love” in September with production coming from Philippe Zdar (of Cassius). Luke Jenner from the band has put together a mix called “The Gospel of Luke” for the Modular Records Modcast series, it’s filled with amazing gospel jams and we guess today is the perfect day for you to enjoy this mix.

New Modular fam Beni has just dropped a remix of a cut from his new Chicago house influenced forthcoming album, which’ll be featuring collaborations with Sam Sparro, Mattie Safer (The Rapture), Nomi from Hercules and Love Affair, and Via Tania.

Bag Raiders – Sunlight (StopMakingMe Remix)

While my favorite Bag Raiders track is forever going to be their 30 second cover of Bang’s classic “Take U To The Movies”, this StopMakingMe remix of their appropriately titled “Sunlight” track is also a contender with sun drenched, finger snapping vocals and plenty of synth.
