Los Angeles based producer Eric Sharp teams up with fellow Angeleno Give In – they’re both members of collective RIS Labs – for the superb new release “Version 3” which drops today via Understated Recordings. Remixes on the release comes from Tenova, Modus and Micah Smith.

We here at Discobelle have been following Eric Sharp for a couple of years and each release from him is bound to make our ears pop in a good way, we’re glad to premiere the original mix the track. “Version 3” goes deep and it can best be described as a “moody, ethereal, and melodic voyage” with chords that twist and turn throughout along with haunting bells, sweeping synths and full on basslines.

“I was exploring darker, heavier music while hanging out in the studio with my buddy Sean Patrick. We had been listening to a bunch of tunes from labels like Innervisions, Culprit, and Ghostly International. I wrote some yearning chords and melodies and began to develop the idea from there. Sean encouraged me to get really granular with the drum programming and write something with slow, subtle changes throughout. I got the track to a place where I liked it but didn’t think it was quite there yet. I sent it over to George, aka Give In, whom I’d collaborated with a few times. Rather than just give feedback, he got some ideas and ran with them. The bell sound that features throughout is actually George playing an Ikea bowl. He busted out some great countermelodies and synth sounds from his collection of analog gear and put on the finishing touches.” – Eric Sharp

Los Angeles based house producer/dj Bobby Nourmand had a huge year last year 2017 with support from big media outlets such Mixmag, DJ Mag, and Pete Tong on BBC Radio, alongside a number of chart-topping accolades across Spotify, Shazam, Hype Machine etc.

To start off 2018, Bobby is unveiling the launch of his own label DITN with the release of his “SUBTERRANEAN” EP. The EP marks him moving into a darker sounding territory with a focus on dark bassline and hard hitting drums, it’s still soulful and moving house music but with an edge that slants toward a techno sound.

Drum Thing (born Peter Carr) is a producer/drummer from East London who also happens to have pretty substantial drum collection that he regularly uses in his production work for the Drum Thing project.

The music he creates explores the darker side of percussive based house music, his latest release is for Trax Couture sublabel World Series – it’s four tracks of excellent, raucous sounding house music with a serious drive and of course mean percussion work.

Drum Thing is currently busy planning out a live setup where he can play percussion live along with his own productions.

Puma Blue is making the sexiest music out of the UK right now. Repping a smooth lofi jazz fusion and a tone that of effervescent to Spooky Black, his music is hypnotizing and bewitching.

Future bass producer Adam Öhman better known under his stage name Mountain Bird is back with his first single “The Wolf”. “The Wolf” is about trying to help a loved one with a mental illness but failing to do so. “The Wolf” features Adam’s own vocals, which is unusual for Mountain Bird who normally drops tracks with featured vocalists. Enjoy!

London based artist Lucy Mason had a great run last year with the release of her hit single “Hunger” that was followed up by her critically acclaimed debut EP and praise from the likes of The Independent, The Metro, Wonderland, The 405 and The Line Of Best Fit.

She just signed to Anti-Fragile and she has alot on the horizon for 2018, starting with the release of her new track “Save Your Breath” which you can listen to exclusively right here on Discobelle. The track itself is a beautiful and haunting dream pop gem.
