The Count & Sinden’s
“Mega Mega Mega” had something going for it other than its catchy repetition heavy title, touting a relentlessly powerful batch of collaborations working with an unusual lineup spanning from Katy B to Rye Rye to The Mystery Jets.

Now that a “Mega Mega Mega” remix album has been announced for August 1st, it’s as good a time as any to revisit the album, as well as preview a few of the contributions from the remix album, including some frothy treats from XXXY, Canblaster, Hot City and more wrapped nicely into a 40 minute mix by Sinden.

Too bad the mix doesn’t have any contributions from Coolio Iglesias, whose name everyone else in the universe probably wishes they’d thought of first.

Preceeding the album will be the mighty first single “After Dark” out on August 16th, featuring a guest appearance by The Mystery Jets, this is one bad ass track. The Shoes are a French electro pop duo from Reims which seems to be a breeding ground for electronic producers, Yuksek and Brodinski also originates from the area. The Shoes have made quite a splash in the last year with remix work for the likes of Santigold, Late Of The Pier, The Virgins, Mystery Jets. They’ve also toured all over the world where they’ve played at some of the top festivals. Their new EP “People Movin” will be released on November 9th and features the vocal offerings of Primary 1. We’ve got the glitchy disco/electronica sounding remix from German graffiti artist turned producer Siriusmo that will have you dancing in no time.

It’s been a few weeks since Bristolian electro/house producer Plimsouls graced the pages of Discobelle. But now he’s back with a remix of the Mystery Jets single “Two Doors Down”. The Erol Alkan produced band made a wise decision when they gave remixing duties to Plimsouls, pure electro goodness and this will without a doubt make the dancefloor lose it.
