Last week, Nacey gifted us with a great edit of Outkast’s “Spottieottiedopalicious”, and now he’s got another exclusive jawn for your pleasure.

Tabi Bonney “seems like the kind of dude who doesn’t really get phased by anything” according to The Fader, and his “seen it all” relaxed drawl makes those kinda thoughts understandable. Nacey expertly throws some shimmering synth and keys overtop Bonney’s rapping, and it sounds like sitting in the sun outside a loft pool somewhere overlooking an entire city, which is to say, very nice.

DC producer Nacey‘s flawless rework of Outkast’s thirteen year old track “Spottieottiedopalicious” is the kind of thing that you listen to and then immediately play again. And again and again, and before you know it it’s two hours later and the song is approaching a triple digit playcount.

First rinsed on Sound Pellegrino’s 5th podcast a few weeks ago, Nacey layers a vocal-house sheen on Andre and Big Boi’s musings and adds a tambourine induced kick. It sounds so much like being in a sweaty, poorly lit club somewhere in Atlanta at 3am that you can almost smell the smoke machine and feel the broken glass on the bottom of your shoes.

In addition to working on another EP for T&A Records, Nacey will be playing The Fader’s “One Step Beyond” Showcase at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC with Matt & Kim and the unspeakably great Araabmuzik next Friday, so show some support and don’t miss it if you’re in the area.
