Vlossom is a newly birthed collaboration between Australian musicians Nick Littlemore (PNAU, Empire of the Sun) and Alister Wright (Cloud Control), and they combine elements of pop with psych-rock and electronic music into something strangely multisensory.

Vlossom now release their debut EP “My Friend” (via Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes’ newly launched label, Lab78) and the EP is spearheaded by the single track “Missing You”.

“The whole EP represents the start of what’s become a huge part of our lives, both in actual work but moreover in a greater understanding and greater reward living through nature and sacred practices. We hope to bring back from the distantly close dimensions some force of joy and love, like flowers opening over and over again, like the first breaths of spring, to the clearest azure summer day and into the early autumn warmth.”

Have you met Miss Velvet? A relatively new singer/songwriter with delicate vocals, Miss Velvet recently released her original single “Cincinnati Street,” a song she collaborated on with Pnau and Empire Of The Sun musician Nick Littlemore.

“We met one afternoon and talked all about the ideas of writing just one song or two. An hour later he and I decided that he would produce my first full length album. I told him I wanted to write an album that told a story from lyric to lyric and phrase to phrase — a whole body of work that would capture a specific time in my life, a time when, as a girl, I didn’t understand loss and grieving and the powerful illusions of men and NYC.”

Out of this meeting would come “Cincinnati Street” and today Nick Littlemore under his Pnau moniker gives the track a dark and sexy remix, which you can stream below. Be sure to check out the original single as well.
