Paris based dj Betty is the latest talent to emerge from the ever growing French music scene, she’s focused on the moody, leftfield rhythms of grime/tech and more bass centered club music acknowledging the fact that sonical challenges and dancing your ass are not opposites.

Honing her craft at countless of venues in and around the French capital as well as other parts of Europe along with gigs for fashion labels such as Kenzo and Nike, Betty now contributes to the Discobelle mix series with an intricate and exciting mix that’s designed to indeed make you dance your ass off.

Nike Sportswear rounds off a big year with the 8th mixtape in their mixtape series (check out the one we in Discobelle did back in january). The last mixtape of the yeat comes courtesy of Mahoyo (Farah Yusuf, MyNa Do & Pia Do) who have spent the year tearing up dancefloors from Stockholm to New York, supporting Robyn and with this mix they go all in with a concoction of electro, dubstep, baile funk, house and hiphop that’s guaranteed to make dancefloors sweat.

Nike brings us an exclusive release from De La Soul, one of the most influential hip hop groups. In commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the classic and outstanding album “3 Feet High and Rising”, De La Soul and Nike collaborates on the release of the 45 minute “Are You In?: Nike+ Original Run” mix, which happens to be the groups’ first released original material in five years and with additional production coming from Chi town DJ/production duo Flosstradamus. Available through iTunes, so grab it and start running!

We got hold of two new A-Trak Serato discs to give away. Everybody needs one!

“Adding another layer of “I gotta’ have this!” to the mix, custom artwork from the Brooklyn-based artist Dust La Rock graces the disc. The design features Dust La Rock’s newly-iconic “Mr. A” figure, lifted from the cover of the A-Trak Original Run album.

As A-Trak explains, “It’s the first official Serato picture disk on their Whitelabel.net label. I used to test out their beta version way before it was available commercially – so now it all came full circle.

Only 1,000 promo pieces of the limited-edition control vinyl picture discs were manufactured. The majority of these will be shipped worldwide to Serato and Whitelabel.net DJs, while a holdback of 50 discs will be exclusively available through select online partners.”

All we want you to do to have a chance to win one of them is to embed DJ Sal Kirdkin’s latest mix on your webpage (blog, myspace, what ever) and send us an e-mail telling us that you put it up (and where). We will then draw two lucky winners!
