Nike brings us an exclusive release from De La Soul, one of the most influential hip hop groups. In commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the classic and outstanding album “3 Feet High and Rising”, De La Soul and Nike collaborates on the release of the 45 minute “Are You In?: Nike+ Original Run” mix, which happens to be the groups’ first released original material in five years and with additional production coming from Chi town DJ/production duo Flosstradamus. Available through iTunes, so grab it and start running!

“Adding another layer of “I gotta’ have this!” to the mix, custom artwork from the Brooklyn-based artist Dust La Rock graces the disc. The design features Dust La Rock’s newly-iconic “Mr. A” figure, lifted from the cover of the A-Trak Original Run album.

Only 1,000 promo pieces of the limited-edition control vinyl picture discs were manufactured. The majority of these will be shipped worldwide to Serato and Whitelabel.net DJs, while a holdback of 50 discs will be exclusively available through select online partners.”

The classic French house duo Cassius just finished their “Cassius Play” mix for Nike+ (you might remember the much talked about LCD Soundsystem “45:33″ mix in the same series, the idea is to make a continous track that would suit runners ie music fitting for a 7 min warm up, 30 min run and 7 min cool down).
