Noob – April Mix For Discobelle

Hard to believe that this April marks Noob’s first independent solo release on Popof founded label Form Music. After all, we’ve been listening to remix ‘pon remix from the French native, from the WMC touted “Dinosaurs With Guns” collaboration to remixes of everyone from Proxy to style of Eye and Tiga.

And then there was that moment in 2009 that found Noob releasing the mindworm known as “Peanuts Club” with Brodinski, a twerky “techno circus from hell” themesong that was stuck in the brains of dancefloor citizens everywhere (whether they wanted it to be or not). Oh god, and then the video…

Now the Crumble EP comes with four startlingly good original productions a Para One / Teki Latex collaboration coming straight out of the depths of vocoder hell, maybe Teki’s “Ibiza breakthrough moment” or perhaps not quite yet (but even if it’s not, it’s excellent).

Turned On Vol. 1 (compiled by Neoteric) hit Beatport today with a bang! 17 tracks from some of the best new artists out there right now collected on one wicked compilation. With talent like Crookers, Brodinski, Radioclit, Nadastrom, Mikix The Cat, Schlachthofbronx, Savage Skulls and many many more we just can’t go wrong. Neoteric put together one of the best compilation we have seen in a long time. We are really proud of doing this with him.

We also want to give something back to all you loyal readers when we release a monster like this. So we got two remixes of one of the tracks on the compilation. It’s Samo Sound Boy and upcoming Discobelle Records artist LOL Boys who have put their touch to the mega bang0r “Cannibalistic” by Expendable Youth.

After the great success of the Mystery Mix competition on Discobelle that we did together with DJ Neoteric (DJ/Producer and A&R for Dubsided) the idea for making it into a compilation came up, since most of the tracks were unreleased. It later grew into something bigger where Neoteric dug in his vaults, and put his ears to the street to gather this collection of great club tracks from friends and artists he’s been working with over the years. There’s something for everyone on this compilation, from speaker mashers, to house groovers, to pounding techno music, this compilation has it all! Teki x Tacteel x Nat Self

Teki Latex once again brings us some of that new heat.

“Initially we had a plan to come up with a single that would have one rap song produced by Nat Self of Zombie Disco Squad fame, and then a house remix of it by Mowgli, then on the flip a rap song produced by Mowgli and its house remix by Nat Self. Then the whole thing took more time than expected and i started working on new songs that will make up my forthcoming Sound Pellegrino single in a totally different style as “Hyper Là” so we decided to put that whole project on the side. I still wanted you to hear this excellent, fun, motivational french rap song featuring Jérôme Echenoz (the artist formerly known as Tacteel) on the hook and whistle.

Chaos In The CBD sent this to us just in time for Christmas, until now these tracks have mysteriously been tucked away in some dusty corner of our harddrive.

Chaos In The CBD is a duo from New Zealand that have the tropical tech sound down. Judging by the quality of the remixes and original tracks that Louis & Ben Helliker-Hales have up their sleeves, we’d say that they’re bound to burst onto the scene in 2010. Don’t sleep on this!
