The year’s most exciting production outfit, 909 Til Infinity, comprised of Denver’s Option4 and Los Angeles based, MANIK, are the next to step up for our exclusive mix series. The combination of MANIK’s heady, New York-warehouse vibes match perfectly with Option4’s west-coast flavors and low-end tendencies. This duo have been on a rampage as of late with exquisite outings on the Treasure Fingers’ helmed imprint, Psycho Disco. The B-Side to their sophomore release for the label, “Do That” premieres tomorrow via Dancing Astronaut (keep dem peeper’s peeled) and the remainder of 2016 see’s the lads sequestered in their studio with additional releases on the docket including tunes for NYC’s hallowed, Nurvous Records.

Keep yo booty out the seat, 909 Til Infinity is about to turn up the HEAT!

Pre-order “Don’t Clock Me b/w Do That”.

Option4 takes a trip down under with his “Activate” release on Sweat It Out’s club-friendly little brother, Club Sweat. Here, we premiere “DOAUK,” an acronym for “Death Of An Underground King…” and an homage to the subterranean beats and flavors that have now found their way into the manipulative hands of the mainstream. Ominous melodies punctuate the shuffling rhythm and brooding bass drones while some uplifting pads appear for a brief glimmer before extinguishing into the ethers.

Available soon via Club Sweat and later this year on the forthcoming Kitsune` compilation.

Our good bros over at Night Supply Records take their first, precarious steps into the world of commercial music with the latest EP from Mosis. Available now on Beatport, this double a-side is an exercise in genre-blurring beat-smithery that yields some fantastic results and is sure to hit home with more than one audience.

‘Do That’ finds some funky, urban influences from it’s 2 step/garage foundation to the bubbling percussion that is simultaneously hard as steel, yet light as a feather. ‘Moves On You’ is another solidly constructed joint that keeps the tempo high and the energy pulsating with intertwining melodies and subterranean rhythms.

Channeling the style and sound of San Francisco house institution, Dirtybird, is something that is often attempted, yet rarely accomplished. Thankfully, option4 has no trouble hitting the bullseye when it comes to chunky, bottom-heavy tech vibes and ghetto laced vocals. ‘You’re ILL,’ is out now for free download via Night Supply Records.

Cop it!

Goddammit! If Denver based producer, option4, gets any better, this blog is going to have to change its name to ‘optionDiscobelle’ because of all the posts we’ll have to do about this guy. His latest remix for Australian stronghold, Sweat It Out comes hotly on the heels of his blinding remix for Sammy Bananas and Fool’s Gold (peep that one HERE).

Here, he takes on Indian Summer and their latest single, “Shiner”, which features Ginger & The Ghost. Brooding and creepy vibes are twisted into an intriguing, melancholic house jammer. Ginger & The Ghost’s Fever Ray like vocals fit perfectly within option4’s unique production alongside skittering marimba riffs and menacing bass stabs.

Last night, the world received a ‘Blood-Moon’, Lunar eclipse. At certain global positions, there was said to be a astrological phenomenon called ‘selenelion,’ an occurrence in which is is possible to see the sun rise in the east simultaneously as the moon sets in the west. A celestial event such as this could only be seen as a fitting analogy for this latest Fool’s Gold release in which we see such an assemblage of talent that one could only assume it was written in the stars.

I’m being cheeky over here, of course, but seriously; the players that came together on the latest single from Sammy Bananas is, well, ‘Bananas!’ Here we feature the remix chops of our man from the mile-high-city, option4, who twists the vintage house stomp of the original cut into a gee’d-out, melancholic banger. Equal parts light and dark, sun and moon, energetic power and gentile caress. Top stuff, Mr. option4. You’ve out-done yourself here!
