Take a trip down memory lane with PLS&TY’s latest release, a remix of Outkast’s 2003 hit “Roses.” Here PLS&TY puts some reverb on Andre 3000’s vocals along with a slick combination of drums and bass with a huge sounding result. Be sure to grab the free download of this one!

I typically try to stay away from dance remixes of this particular Outkast joint, they usually turn out over-warped and saccharine.

Not here though. Brooklyn duo, The Golden Pony, have churned out a perfectly pitched remix that amps the anthemic qualities of the original while making it a more interesting experience on the dance floor.

Emerging L.A vocalist, producer and songwriter ZHU is responsible for the fantastic electronic medley of Outkast tracks called “Moves Like Miss Jackson” that we posted back in mid-February, new track “Paradise Awaits” is the first single off his debut EP “The Nightday” (will be released April 20th on L.A label Mind Of A Genius).

“Paradise Awaits” is futuristic sounding garage-soul that pulls together bouncy synths, propulsive beats and slinky vocal hooks.

The EP consists of six original tracks that draws from dance music genres ranging from house to disco to garage to synth-pop which are laced with his pristine vocals.

If you’re feeling this as much as we are, go on and pre-order it now on iTunes .

No website, no Soundcloud, not even a real name can be linked to this new mashup that’s been spreading like wildfire across the internet these past couple days. The track “Moves Like Ms. Jackson” is a medley of some of Outkast’s greatest hits including “The Way You Move,” “The Whole World,” “Ms. Jackson,” and “So Fresh, So Clean” over a bassline of punchy synths and a post-dub beat. No word on who is behind this tune just yet, but for now let’s hold off on the speculation and just press play.

DC producer Nacey‘s flawless rework of Outkast’s thirteen year old track “Spottieottiedopalicious” is the kind of thing that you listen to and then immediately play again. And again and again, and before you know it it’s two hours later and the song is approaching a triple digit playcount.

First rinsed on Sound Pellegrino’s 5th podcast a few weeks ago, Nacey layers a vocal-house sheen on Andre and Big Boi’s musings and adds a tambourine induced kick. It sounds so much like being in a sweaty, poorly lit club somewhere in Atlanta at 3am that you can almost smell the smoke machine and feel the broken glass on the bottom of your shoes.

In addition to working on another EP for T&A Records, Nacey will be playing The Fader’s “One Step Beyond” Showcase at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC with Matt & Kim and the unspeakably great Araabmuzik next Friday, so show some support and don’t miss it if you’re in the area.
