Fragment One

Thanks to Haldan (Palms Out and danish label Music For Dreams) here’s another remix of the track “Fragment One” originally from label head honcho, Kenneth Bager. This time, it’s done up by our very own Swedish sensation Style Of Eye. This remix destroys on the dancefloor, and is building hype incredibly quickly. Style Of Eye is gaining steam at an incredible pace, and this track is one of his best yet.

Digital Manges (Douster remix)

Another group from Melbourne, Digital Manges is a trio that have just released their debut single “Give Me A Reason” on Palms Out. The EP comes packaged with a array of huge dancefloorfriendly remixes from such names as: Clark Able, Mightyfools, Douster, Headshotboyz & Mike Genius. We received this choppy, bassheavy fidget/baile funk remix, which comes complete with gunshots and sirens, from French/Argentinian producer Douster

Lulu Rouge

Super dude Haldan of Palms Out hit us with some remixes for duo Lulu Rouge (signed to Music For Dreams). Both former member of the outfit, Danish techno wonder Trentemöller and French edit maestro Pilooski redid remixes the track “Bless You” + to top it all off we also got the original version.

Black Magic (Stay High remix)

Leif and Palms Out are some of our favorite dudes of 2008 and this is a collaborative effort. Leif is just about to release his “Black Magic” EP, this remix by fellow NYC cohorts Stay High (check the original version here) keeps the track on more of a frantic and evil tip.

digital_primate

Digital Primate – I Ain’t Wid It (Acid Jacks remix)

Another fine release from our friends over at Palms Out.
Digital Primate gives us a rockhard but still bouncy track “I Ain’t Wid It” featuring fab MC’s Queen Khadeeja and Demilition B-Girl who gets “bootyvicious” on Mr Bling and the sexist parts of the music industry. Over at the HQ we usually have no probs with booty but we are def. joining in on the chanting in the chorus “This bootylicius bullshit! has got to go. I Ain’t Wid It!”. The Acid Jacks gives the track a straight forward electro twist.

Buy the full release, that aswell as a bunch of remixes also includes the original tracks “I Don’t Give A Fuck” and “On Da Radio”, at Beatport.

norrittherhythm

Norrit

Kansas City house producer Norrit is about to drop his debut release “The Rhythm EP” on newly started Think 2wice Records (run by the group Tactic, the focus of Think 2wice will be on a broad cross section of the uptempo sounds crushing parties all over the world). His tracks are already receiving attention from heavy hitters such as HeavyFeet, Kissy Sell Out, Eli Escobar and Nick Catchdubs. We got one of the tracks off the EP. “Make You Love Me” is filled with soulful vocals that are contrasted by some psychedelic harmonies and chopped drums. We also received the “Rhythm promo” mix that showcases Norrits stylings.

With a forthcoming EP due on Palms Out, an official remix for the Kansas City art school disco-punk group Ssion, and a second EP on Think 2wice this spring, expect a lot more great music from Norrit in the coming months.

Hostage – The Slave

Jess Jubilee and Jason Forrest (AKA DJ Donna Summer) are running the newly started Nightshifters label and now they’re dropping a bomb with the upcoming “Shake It EP” by Scottish producer Hostage. The EP features four prime time club bangers + remixes from Palms Out homie AC Slater and Jackmaster (of Australian duo Acid Jacks). We’re glad to be able to offer you one of the cuts from the EP, “The Slave” has a bit of that b-more sound but is more of a ravey synth stabbing and wonky bass monster.

Blänk

Production duo Blänk is from way up north in Sweden (Luleå to be more exact) and they’re inspired by “snow, reindeers, the dream of Miami and girls”. They call their brand of music “Eurotrash”.

The track “Shirt Off” features Swedish rapper Young Ivy (now transplanted to Atlanta) and it’s already been remixed by Palms Out homie Boody B, Kocky and The Touch. We give you the original version, the Boody B remix and cover done by famed Swedish indierockster Mattias Alkberg (of Bear Quartet fame) + the video.

busyboys

Purple Crush – Busy Boys

Hot on the heels of their recent European takeaover, Purple Crush release the first single “Busy Boys” (will be released on November 18th) which is taken off their latest EP “Blog Party”. The EP has already seen alot of exposure on the blogs.

This remix by Krames starts out as a venture into a darker electro sound than we’ve heard from him in the past but then about halfway through the track hits a break, in comes the B-more horns and then you know where he takes it. Other remixes of the single comes from South African ghetto duo Sweat X, Danish producer Jens Fokking, label mate Mike Genius, Palms Out Sounds affiliate Norrit and the track’s namesake The Get Busy Boys.

AC Slater – Jack Got Jacked

This dropped friday but we’ve been mad busy here at the Discobelle office. Anyway, here’s one of our favorite tracks right now – “Jack Got Jacked” done by our homie AC Slater (released by the awesome people over at Palms Out) – and we’re not the only ones that like it since it’s been blowing up the blogs and also managed to go straight to the #1 spot on the Juno chart. This is one huge track where AC samples the vocals from classic house track “Can You Feel It? (Jack Had A Groove)” by Fingers Inc but flips it into a modern day wobbly bass ridden dancefloor monster.
