Dropping in for this weeks installment of the Discobelle mix is Shreveport, Louisiana based producer, Walter Jones. Mr. Jones has been composing music since the late Seventies and has amassed a solid catalog of work spanning multiple decades and genres. His heavily lauded debut on Westbound Music, “All God’s Children,” cemented his place in modern dance circles and subsequent outings for Permanent Vacation, Supersoul and DFA only went on to expand his audience.

We’re super stoked to present this new mixtape from the man… an impressive, 80 minute foray into deep and groovy sounds, mixed live and offered to you here. Stay up and keep your eyes peeled for his upcoming 12″ ep on the Whiskey Pickle label.

“Please” is the new single from top Berlin by ways of Ireland producer Mano Le Tough off his upcoming album “Changing Days” which will be released on February 22nd on Permanent Vacation, a steady driven atmospheric track with repetetive sampled vocals combined with soulful singing and an interchanging shuffle amidst piano keys.

Catalan producer John Talabot may have already provided one of the top albums of 2012 with his blissful debut of shimmering house “Æ’in” (released worldwide on German imprint Permanent Vacation this week). One of the best tracks on the album – “Destiny” – gives us frequent collaborator Pional who provides some beautiful singing while John Talabot weaves a steady house beat intertwined with bleeps and sweeping synths.

BONUS: Spanish folk sounding track that was posted on his Soundcloud a while back, brings back memories of a lazy summer.

Jackpot is a trio from Stockholm and with the release of their italodisco/early house infused “Ragazza” EP (on Service/Permanent Vacation) they quickly garnered quite a buzz. They are the latest ones to release an EP for the Rvng of the Nrds 12″ series on NYC label RVNG. The track “Brief Encounter” that we got for you is a funky disco gem with a dancey string arrangement and handclaps aplenty all while a buzzing rhytm keeps you locked to the dancefloor.

Bogdan Irkük who made that wonderful remix of Jens Lekman last summer is back with a new remix. This time it’s Sally Shapiro’s track “Miracle” that he remixes for her upcoming release on Permanent Vacation. He does not disappoint us this time either, his beat fits perfectly to Sally’s beautiful voice. Get the whole release that is released in the US today and in Europe on Monday.
