King Krule – The Noose of Jah City (video)

Wow. Just wow.

17-year old London wonder kid Archy Marshall just to go under the moniker Zoo Kid but is now known as King Krule. He just released his debut EP under the new name and has been praised by everyone from The Guardian to Pitchfork. This is a pretty accurate description of King Krule:

“Beautiful tales of discontent; guitar-led dub lullabies, swathed in his distinctive, sneering vocals. He spits lyrics like a punk and plays guitar like a jazz maestro, all the while looking like he’s just stepped off the set of This Is England ’11.”

CREEP is the dark and ghoulish beatfilled pop project from Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard, they just finished a video for their absolutely excellent debut single “Days” (directed by Warren Fischer of Fischerspooner) and the track also features the vocal offerings of Romy Madley Croft (from The XX). Major Lazer was perhaps the most sweat inducing act to hit clubs all over ther world last year and they also brought the heat with a banging album effort. Here’s their brand new track “Sound Of Siren” which also features the vocal offerings of M.I.A and Busy Signal, this makes us long for the new EP which is due out in April. Next week, Liminals will release their new record “Hearthand” on Friendly Noise. Pitchfork describes the track “The Swim as: “morphing from minimal atmospheric excersizes to clipped-up beats to burbles of bass tones under washes of oceantide synths”.
