Guido is a young producer from Bristol who just released a new single called “Beautiful Complication/Araya” featuring lovely vocals from Aarya on Punch Drunk Records. The single has already received play from Joker, Oneman, Pinch, Kode 9, Mary Anne Hobbs, Toddla T, Sinden, Rob Da Bank, Appleblim and many more that are intrigued by Guidos suspenseful and atmospheric brand of dubstep that fits superbly with this darker time of the year. Our friends down in Barcelona – Plat Du Jour – are getting ready for the madness that is more commonly known as the Sonar festival. The city will be invaded by thousands of sun craving, alcohol/substance fueled yet surprisingly calm and friendly dance tourists from all over the world. The Plat Du Jour crew will host a spectacular off-Sonar night at Club Mondo this thursday (the 18th) and they were kind enough to offer you faithful Discobelle readers who might be in the city 2 pairs of tickets for the extravaganza (acts confirmed are Flying Lotus, Mumdance, Jackmaster etc. Check the full lineup after the jump, it’ll be mad). This is perhaps not the usual stuff you get from us here at Discobelle but this mix is so smooth and awesome that it deserves a post. K**O is part of the Desparrame (along with Delorean) and Plat Du Jour crews down in Barcelona and he did this funky mix of Spanish electro and boogie jams from the early 80′s. The mix has been well received and been praised by the likes of Morgan Geist, Greg Wilson and Dâm Funk. Enjoy!
