Matt Kemp who is better known as Plimsouls is back with on the scene with the release of his debut EP “If Not Now, When” (being released in April on Pieces Of Eight Records which is also home to Cassette Jam and Style Of Eye). The EP is a much techier affair than the lush sounds we’ve previously heard from Mr Plimsouls, this is an alternate version of the track “Twelve” lifted off the EP.
It’s sunday and what better way to spend it than eating left over cake from the birthday dinner last night and listen to the latest tracks from Matt Plimsouls. First we have an instrumental track called “Nausea” that he finished two days ago and then we have his remix of the track “End It Tonight” from Aussie indiegroup Teenagers In Tokyo.
British wonderkid producer Matt Plimsouls brought these three tracks to our attention and since we think all the tracks he churns out are incredible there was no question that it was time for a Plimsouls mega post.
Here’s what Matt wrote: “The originals were for a label, but they’re taking their time so I’m sending them out to blogs. The remix is for a Bristol band called Turbowolf, who should hopefully get massive in the next few months”.
I should have posted this two days ago but Dreamhost are doing their best to keep our site down. Shame on you…
So here we go. Here is a mix Plimsouls recorded, warming up for Lillica Libertine and Nightmoves at Shake And Pop in Bristol. We also get the new track “Ah!” as a bonus.

Yesterday, we featured the new track “Version” by Plimsouls and today we got the new NLLR mix from the producer/dj whiz kid who seem to never be sleeping. This mix is a perfect showcase of Plimsouls versatility and you should expect big things from him in the future.
“No Love Lost Records is pleased to bring you an exclusive mix by 19 year old, Bristol based DJ and producer, PLIMSOULS for you. Having remixed the eclectic likes of ALPHABEAT, THE TEDDYBEARS, MISS ODD KID and GET CAPE WEAR CAPE FLY and unleashed a series of original PLIMSOULS tracks, it’s no surprise that this young talent has already begun garnering a pile of press. Kicking off in fine style with BILLY BRAGG classic, “A New England” PLIMSOULS mix takes in the varied sounds of ALTER EGO, DEADMAU5, HIJACK, ROKYSOPP, ARMAND VAN HELDEN,TOM DE NEEF, LAIDBACK LUKE and more before it’s finished. PLIMSOULS deft ability to thread disparate styles together with seeming ease obviously gives his mix a truly unique vibe. As 2008 unfolds, the buzz surrounding PLIMSOULS is only set to snowball.”

19 year old Bristolian whiz kid Plimsouls gives us a brand new track. “Version” is a bit techier than his previous efforts but we get the feeling that he’s constantly evolving so we can’t help but wonder what level he’s gonna be on in a few years. One thing is for certain, 2008 will be a big year for Plimsouls.
