The latest single “Faceless” from Los Angeles based producer/vocalist Ex Mykah is a response to society’s unraveling moral fabric and spotlights the West’s increasingly naked fear of “the other”. He blends haunting hip-hop structures with leftfield and lush sounding pop.

“Faceless” is another taste from his forthcoming debut album which will be released via Kowloon Records.

Pale Blue is a critically acclaimed techno duo that consists of the legendary New Jersey-based Mike Simonetti (an old friend of us at here at Discobelle, of Troubleman and Italians Do It Better fame) and Liz Wight. Pale Blue is a response to modern dance music and its constant fluctuations.

Back in 2015, they released their debut album entitled “The Past We Leave Behind”, a sublime album released via 2MR Records that incorporates rhythmic techno, atmospheric ambient productions, noise, drone, dream pop and lush vocals.

We at Discobelle are super excited to premiere the video for the title track.

“When the Pale Blue album came out, the idea was to make a video for this song and to release it as a single (the way normal people release music)- since it’s our most “pop” song. I contacted my friend and “art guy” Branko Vranic and asked him if he could make a video that involves old photos of my family, up until I reached high school because high school is when life changes. I wanted to photos to be rapid fire because that’s how fast time goes by. But after the video was finished I decided to shelve it. I didn’t think it was something people would be interested in seeing, and maybe it was too cheesy and nostalgic for techno/house/etc… This month is the three year anniversary of the video’s completion. A lot of crazy stuff has happened in those three years. As the world we once knew appears to be inching away from us, something as simple as family and nostalgia seems more relevant than ever.”

(thee) Mike B is based out of Los Angeles and he is one of those dj’s dj whereas pretty much an all star cast of dj’s/producers gives him well deserved praise, he also happens to be one of Discobelle’s oldest friends.

Now, he has teamed up with Eevo to breathe new life into the classic The Avalanches track “Frontier Psychiatrist” which we can premiere on Discobelle, their chopped up take features a frantic, housed up beat and lingering horn samples throughout this absolute banger which has already been praised by the likes of Nick Catchdubs, Curses, Astronomar, Tony Quattro, Classixx, Ardalan, Oliver Dollar and Switch etc.

London-based vocalist/songwriter/producer Fifi Rong has collaborated with artists such as Tricky and Skepta.

Today she releases the visuals for her track “Horizon”, the track itself is glitchy, bass-filled and dark juxtaposed against the vocals, the dreamlike video directed by FUSSOFF focuses on Fifi and her abstract dance moves while cutting in flowers being set on fire.

Hailed as “Ireland’s answer to Calvin Harris”, dj/producer John Gibbons has racked up 100+ million streams on Spotify alone and he just released his big summer anthem “Sweat” as a warm-up for his June support gigs for The Chainsmokers.

You all know the 90’s original from Inner Circle, on this fun electro version he creates a bassline that’s simply irresistible to dance to and a track that’s bound to make the summer festivals explode.

“I’m extremely excited for this release. Every good summer needs a hot, sweaty soundtrack and with this single I’ve set out to encapsulate that feel-good vibe, which I believe will have people everywhere jumping, dancing and singing along! Get ready to ‘SWEAT’!”

Swedish brother duo Brynäs currently live in Berlin where they make electronica laced pop music.

The excellent new single “Information” is a more of an electronica with soft-spoken vocals meets kraut affair and the track deals with current hidden political agendas.

Malmö based producer The Land Below lends his magic touch to the track “Someone To Save Me” by New York-based artist I AM SNOW ANGEL (AKA Julie Kathryn, who has been featured in the Huffington Post, Indie Shuffle, Magnetic Mag, Creem Magazine, Refinery 29, All Things Go etc.).
I AM SNOW ANGEL is a sound designer for Ableton, an up and coming producer, and one of the founders of Female Frequency. Later this year she’ll release her concept album “MOTHERSHIP”, which was recorded in wintery isolation in a cabin deep in the woods of upstate NY.

“Someone To Save Me” is released tomorrow Friday May 18th and it’s an exquisite piece of sweeping electronica where I Am Snow Angel’s vocals are utilized in a soothing and beautiful way.

“I love Erik’s production style. The track he originally sent me was very synth-y and 80’s inspired. I envisioned a futuristic nighttime landscape. I imagined myself in that space as I wrote. When he sent me back our mix, he had opened up the production quite a bit and the whole song suddenly felt even more emotional and honest.” – I AM SNOW ANGEL

“When I first sent the track to Julie for her to write vocals, it didn’t sound anywhere close to what it now does. Because when I heard what she had recorded, I felt I needed to rewrite the whole song and put her voice at the center of it. What came out was another song entirely, one much better, and one that puts Julie’s voice in focus. This is kind of like the remix of a track that never was.” – The Land Below
