Elizabeth Grant or Lana Del Rey as she’s better known is about to release a remix EP of her new single “Born To Die”, one of the remixes is done by French video director/artist Woodkid who takes it on a trip to a darker place filled with marching drums.

BONUS: Producer Clams Casino also did a remix and he goes all in.

Winter Is All Over You

Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit are darlings of the indie/folk scene at the moment. Baauer is a Brooklyn based producer that chops and screws their track “Winter Is All Over You” to a syrupy rework where a strumming guitar and the original vocals meets a slow, bassheavy and haunting feeling that makes the winter darkness even scarier.

Bonar Bradberry – You Were Away

Bonar Bradberry is back on Needwant Recordings with new single “You Were Away”, dreamlike disco is on the menu. On the remix front we have German trio Space Ranger for the title track and UK duo Maxxi Soundsystem for the b-side who both spice it up with approaches that seems targeted at the dancefloor.

AlunaGeorge – You Know You Like It (Riton rerub)

In anticipation of their upcoming debut album, Riton rerubs the new single “You Know You Like It” (original version dropped last year) from London duo AlunaGeorge with the help of what at first sounds like a bouncy videogame stutter and a pitched vocal that towards the middle of the track proceeds to explode into a full on bassfilled, sirenlaced electro assault.

BONUS: Another remix of the track, done by London slow bass producer Lapalux. (via Dummy)

Tyson – Die On The Dancefloor (Round Table Knights Remix)

Seeing as we’re currently stuck in Zürich due to adverse weather conditions in Central Europe, here’s a remix done by famed Swiss techhouse duo Round Table Knights of the menacing synthbased disco Tyson track “Die On The Dancefloor” which they decide to flip into more of a feelgood house monster and in the process go in for an annihilation of the dancefloor.

Timbuktu – Flickan och Kråkan (Mash Up International remix)

Sweden’s own purveyors of all things tropical and bass – Mash Up International – will most likely be heard everywhere in 2012. They ended 2011 with this massive remix of Swedish rapper Timbuktu and his heartfelt cover of the classic track “Flickan och Kråkan” by well known Swedish singer/songwriter Mikael Wiehe.
