theme park

Theme Park – Two Hours (RAC Remix)

From our SXSW interview with RAC‘s André Allen Anjo, he listed Theme Park as one of the group’s to watch in 2012. Here he has taken their melancholy track, “Two Hours,” and turned it into a nice upbeat indie pop remix.

Little Boots

Little Boots – Every Night I Say A Prayer EP

A few days ago we brought you the Tensnake remix of Little Boots’ latest single, “Every Night I Say A Prayer,” a disco house rework that begged to be played again and again. Now you can stream the full “Every Night I Say A Prayer” EP including remixes from Joe Smooth, My Panda Shall Fly, Nic Sarno, Screamin’ Rachael and D-Man.

Strange Clouds

B.O.B (ft. Lil Wayne) – Strange Clouds (Big Dope P remix)

Exclusive world premiere!

Paris producer and part of the Moveltraxx fam Big Dope P was recently commissoned to make an official remix for the B.O.B & Lil Wayne track “Strange Clouds”. The remix will be released as a bonus track on European CD edition of B.O.B album “Strange Clouds” (drops May 1st on Atlantic/Warner) and will be also available digitally via the new Moveltraxx compilation “Da Movelt Posse Episode 5″ (released today).

Big Dope P sees to it that B.O.B and Weezy go head to toe at break neck juke/footwork speed and sprinkles a wobbly layer that is bound to sound immense on a proper sound system.

psychemagik

Psychemagik – Valley of Paradise Remixes

Huge remix package coming through from Psychemagik’s interstellar balearic journey through time and space known as “Valley of Paradise” – The package features remixes from Toby Tobias, Time & Space Machine (fittingly), and house edit don Greg Wilson, whose contribution might just be the brightest shining supernova of the bunch. The only shame is that original b-side “Star Lazer” didn’t get any reworkings here, but maybe they’re tucking that away for a future edition?

Stream all the Valley Of Paradise remixes below here, pre-orders are already available on Juno, it drops April 30th!

ladyhawke

Ladyhawke – Sunday Drive (video)

Take a listen to Scissor Sisters remix of Sunday Drive below. The single is set to be released May 22 with other remixes by Villa, Gigamesh, The Slips, and Willy Moon.

Freak You

Monsieur Adi – Requiem (Freak You “She’s In Heaven” Remix)

Freak You is Franck/On The Fruit Records label head honcho who happens to be a producer, and a pretty good one at that. I first came across Freak You’s music accidentally with his remix of MRTN’s “Slow” and after that I was hooked and his brand of funky disco with a bounce. Freak You continues the dance party with his remix of Italian producer Monsieur Adi’s latest single, “Requiem.”

If you like what you hear, check out Freak You’s remix of Mark Morrison’s “I Am What I Am,” also available as a free download.

VIT

Visions of Trees – Turn 2U (Plant Plants Remix) (Premiere)

“Turn 2U” is the new single from the disco-noir duo Visions of Trees, taken from their debut self-titled album to be released  June 27th via Something In Consruction. It’s dark dance; intricate production skills with heavy beats, reminiscent of 90’s rave/house. We’re giving you a taste of things to come with this premiere of the Plant Plants remix of “Turn 2U.” Plants Plants are set to release an EP, also due out in June, produced by none other than Jas from Simian Mobile Disco.

arsenal

Arsenal – Melvin (Diskjokke Remix) (Premiere)

Arsenal isn’t to be confused with the English football club or Morrissey’s 1992 album, but is instead Belgian duo Hendrik Willemyns and John Roan. The two originally formed in 1999 and have released five albums since. They’re keeping things rolling with their newest single “Melvin”, featuring guest vocals from Shawn Smith of Seattle’s Pigeonhed. Smith’s subdued tenor vocals complement the soothing and sensual electropop vibe of the track. The full “Melvin” EP is available April 16th and includes remixes from some of the most exciting producers around today.

Bok Bok, the DJ/producer behind the pioneering Night Slugs label, reduces the track to skeletal rhythms and throbbing bass, Compuphonic slows the track down creating a beautiful late night anthem, whilst Diskjokke turns “Melvin” into a moody disco anthem.

We’re thrilled to be premiering the Diskjokke remix here on Discobelle today. The track starts out simple with a machine drum beat and handclaps. Gradually vocals and more instruments come in to create a symphony of sounds and syncopations.

Also check out the official video for “Melvin” below. It captures the opening lyrics of the track, “it was night, it was day // it was life the old-fashioned way,” and flips between scenes of the duo trekking through the wilderness of Madagascar and a sold out performance in Antwerp, Belgium.

Sam Sparro

Sam Sparro – I Wish I Never Met You (Devil’s Gun Remix)

This morning our friends at Pop Justice bring us a nice remix of Sam Sparro‘s “I Wish I Never Met You” by Devil’s Gun. Like pretty much everyone else, I was justifiably obsessed over his 2008 single “Black and Gold” with its irresistibly sexy synth line. “I Wish I Never Met You” is the next Sam Sparro track that packs panache. The track is off the UK crooner’s second album, Return to Paradise, expected to drop some time in June this year.
