Heavy bass champion Drop The Lime releases what could be one of the biggest tracks in months. “Hear Me” drops on Trouble & Bass today and new British whiz producer Drums Of Death has been killing it lately and this evil remix is no exception. It made the rounds last week but we just got permission to post it. DOD keeps most of Lucas vocals and heavy bass but adds some trickery and voila!

We posted the video for the track “Breakfast” from Dutch group LeLe back in April and now Mel (one of the nicest people we’ve met, from Audioporno & Wildlife fame) did a remix under his new moniker Mercury. He doesn’t go all in on this but manages to throw in a driving beefed up dance beat plus some added flair.

The Outrunners are from Nantes, France and they’re part of the Valerie collective (which also includes College, Anoraak, Minitel Rose and Russ Chimes). The Valerie crew are hellbent on taking over the world with the help of Technicolor synths and dreamy disco, they make good use of both on this track (which have circulated on the blogs this week) where Russ Chimes provides a remix that also features some vocoder action along with a pulsating beat to give us something simply irresistible. The Outrunners + Russ Chimes = A perfect sunday jam.

The quartet from Castle Donington, Late Of The Pier have been much talked about with the release of the Erol Alkan produced single “Bathroom Gurgle” (remixes coming from Breakbot, Duke Dumont, Filthy Dukes, Tronik Youth + our danish homies Tomski*Fredboy). However, up and coming producer Drums Of Death gives us this bootleg which combines Late Of The Piers spastic mix of dancey electropop with wobbly bass galore.

Just got this press-release from our friends in Smalltown DJs and what better day to post it when one of the track has a Halloween touch.

Time for another smooth remix from our favorite Montreal disco producer CFCF. This time he adds some of his magic to the Genghis Tron “Recursion”, giving it a slow drive and keeping the atmospheric feeling.

The track originally appears on the Lovepump United release “Board Up The House Remixes Volume II”.

CFCF will soon be releasing his debut vinyl release, a limited edition double a-side 7″, and it’s up for preorder on Acéphale Records. Also, he’s about to finish up a Mixin’ It Up for us here at Discobelle so check back for that since we have a feeling it’s going to be essential.

The new single “Canada/Berlin” from Swedish duo gen;lon (Richard Gensollen and Jonas Lönnå) is the third release from the Stockholm based label and DJ/artist management Koloni Records. The single is on some housey minimal techno tip and has already gained support from among others legendary dj Laurent Garnier + Swedish DJ-duo Housewives. Nils Westerlund and Oscar Wedrén are perhaps better known for their work with production collective Le Choix but this remix of “Canada” sees them transforming the original track into an eerie techno jam with Balkan-style synths.

Dre Skull embarks on a three week Asian tour that starts this week when he headlines Vice’s Halloween party in Tokyo.

Our buddy DLake (previously mentioned here) just e-mailed us some new stuff.

Texan producer/dj Bird Peterson did this bouncy remix of the track “Holy Ghost In The Club” from DLakes live group Claire Hux (they just signed to Unruly Records). They call themselves a party rap group with a live show more resembling some of those early 90’s groups such as Bel Biv Divoe, Kid n Play, Fresh Prince of Bel Air but with more syncopated dances and goofy lyrics.

Claire Hux also have a brand new mixtape coming out in a few weeks, mixed by the one and only Scottie B.

Danish label Music For Dreams worked with Berlin based producer/dj Jesse Rose on this smoothed out and groovy remix for Kenneth Bager (who is apparently a cultural icon in Denmark and he’s been around since the mid-eighties). The track also features vocal offerings from singstress Julee Cruise (who most of you should know from that Twin Peaks track). You can purchase the whole thing here!
