Solo is an Italian house producer currently residing in London where he shares a studio with Discobelle faves Mowgli and Riva Starr. You might know him from his recent Cornershop remix which quickly became a favorite on the blogs. This funky track (or as Solo puts it “a dj tool that works well on the dancefloor) “Midgets in Brick Lane” is off his new EP “We Are The Midgets” which was just released on Deadfish (the label he runs together with Mowgli), it’s a track which draws a heavy influence from the world music scene in this case Bollywood.

Riva Starr just made the Top 20 players 2008 list in IDJ Magazine. To celebrate, here’s his reworking of the track “Generation Noize” from Dutch house guru Laidback Luke. Riva goes funky on this one and it’s perfect for warming up to a night of dancing.

Baltimore’s very own Oh Snap just dropped his “Falling Out” EP this weekend with remixes by Discobelle faves such as Riva Starr, Sammy Bananas and Yolanda Be Cool. We’ve got the dub version (don’t worry, it’s still a club jam) from that moustache-clad gentleman known as Sammy Bananas for you. Another huge release from Sweat It Out Records.

Riva Starr just did a podcast/mix for the Berlinbased label Made To Play (run by Jesse Rose). It was done to promote the launch of his new 12″ which will be released by Made To Play in mid October. The funky jacking house mix contains teasers from the upcoming 12″ and also some exclusive goodies such as a preview of Rivas “Black Betty” bootleg and also his Fatboy Slim remix (which has already been played twice by Pete Tong over the weekend).
