Le Prix & Johan Agebjörn (ft. Lake Heartbeat) – Watch The World Go By

It’s been a while since we posted about Swedish producer Johan Agebjörn but he just e-mailed us about the premiere of his latest single together with Le Prix and Lake Heartbeat, “Watch The World Go By” will be released by Lo recordings on April 12th with remixes from Skatebård and Teen Daze. The track is also the first single off his upcoming album “Casablanca Nights” (to be released in May with guests CFCF, Sally Shapiro, Fred Ventura, Queen Of Hearts, Wolfram, Legowelt and Ercola etc.).

The track itself is another glorious example of his production skills, a lovely piece of gleaming italodisco with subdued vocals that carries the icy beat perfectly.

WOLFRAM (ft. Haddaway) – Thing Called Love (Legowelt remix)

Well, I guess everything in dance music has mystifyingly come full circle, because almost twenty years after “What Is Love” comes mindblowingly great Wolfram collaboration with Haddaway. Yes, THAT Haddaway. If you forgot that he could actually sing really well, this track functions as a midnight disco soaked reminder. Legowelt adds an extra glossy sheen to this song, it feels like it was created exclusively for riding down highways in LA at sunset with the roof down.

Wolfram’s album is coming out soon, with collaborations from Hercules & Love Affair, Holy Ghost!, Sally Shapiro, Paul Parker, Haddaway, Legowelt, etc. The album will come out on Permanent Vacation in Europe and will be self-released in USA on April 19th.

Love In July

We had the “Love In July” video from Sally Shapiro up a couple of days ago and today is the US release of the single, so we got the remix from Le Prix for you guys. Since we have been getting mad love for the “Måndagsbarn” remix by Le Prix, we just had to give you this. The other remixes on the single are from Bostro_Pesopeo, Parker Lewis and CFCF.

The single will be released in Europe on Friday.

Miracle

Bogdan Irkük who made that wonderful remix of Jens Lekman last summer is back with a new remix. This time it’s Sally Shapiro’s track “Miracle” that he remixes for her upcoming release on Permanent Vacation. He does not disappoint us this time either, his beat fits perfectly to Sally’s beautiful voice. Get the whole release that is released in the US today and in Europe on Monday.

Miracle

Discodust beat us to the punch on this brand new Sally Shapiro single “Miracle” (which will be released June 16th by Permanent Vacation and Paper Bag Records. It’s the first single from her forthcoming album to be released later this year), but since it’s a piece of pretty damn amazing italodisco then that won’t stop us.

Blänk – I’m Going For Your Brother (video + remixes)

The Blänk project with a follow-up to the smashing track “Take Your Shirt Off”. The track “I’m Going For Your Brother” gives us the vocal offerings from Lina (of The Touch fame) + Atlanta rapper Young Ivy. The original is a breathtaking slice of italodisco that reminds us of Sally Shapiro while the Waa!Fi (Andreas from The Touch) remix aims straight for the dancefloor with its bassdriven stomp and Boody B (AKA Haldan from Palms Out) switches it up with more of a soft electrodisco take.

Johan Agebjörn vs. Glass Candy

Ah, the best of two worlds combined in the form of Scandinavian disco from Johan Agebjörn (Sally Shapiros producer) who gives us his remix of Italians Do It Better top dogs and Northwestern disco kings Glass Candy. The remix will be released May 18th on the compilation “Milky Disco II” which is being put out by Lo Recordings.
