Brooklyn based producer/dj and Hot Mom USA label boss Shiftee is a World DMC winner – twice – which is showcased in his amazing turntablist rendition of his single “Van Full Of Drugs” (the track is taken off his just released EP “Boom Bap & Beyond”). Check out the exclusive video premiere in the player above!
DJ Shiftee has been one of my favorite underground producers, especially when it comes to music made for partying, and I’m especially excited to let everyone know about this stunning track that’s premiering with us today. “Go Preemee” is the latest, and sees the talented producer team up with Brooklyn-based Svpreme Ink, a lyricist who’s complex style shines through in this piece.
With an emotional element to an otherwise beyond catchy song, the two create some truly great magic, and the resulting piece is one for the books.
According to DJ Shiftee-
“I was hanging with Dre (Svpreme Ink’s manager) at a studio session in Atlanta, and he was like, “you need to hear Svpreme.” He played me one of her tracks, and I was immediately sold, “YO! We need to work together.” Turns out Svpreme & I both live in Brooklyn, on the same subway line even, and we clicked musically right away. We had one writing session, where we knocked out 3 songs in a few hours, and then got up the next week at Red Bull NYC to record 2 of them. The first of these is Go Preemee, which is meant to be sort of an anthem for Svpreme (aka PREEMEE), but really for anyone to channel his or her confidence, talent, & swagger.”
… And according to Svpreme Ink- “I was complaining to my manager Dre about how I needed to get inspired with music again. He told me he just linked up with this guy Shiftee at a session in ATL. He told me Shiftee loved the music and his sound would inspire me to try something new so we linked! The vibe was so solid and natural. The energy clicked and the work just happened. The first day, me and DJ Shiftee knocked out 3 or 4 songs, but when we started recording “Go Preemee” we knew it was the one. It’s different than the music I usually make but its a song that gets people moving. It’s happy, it’s a party, I love that and creating it was fun too. It was the inspo I was looking for. Wouldn’t be surprised if you see more work from me and Shiftee in the near future!”
For those of you that don’t know, DJ Shiftee is an esteemed turntablist, producer, and head honcho at Hot Mom USA. Svpreme Ink, originally from Brooklyn, is a Rapper, Writer, Tattooist and Model.
The track will be released on the 28th of this month (it’s this Friday!). Check out the song below.
Wow, we’ve got a serious banger for you today, and trust us, you’re going to want to hear this one. E.A.S.Y. consisting of veteran DJs Enferno and Shiftee, have partnered with Sayyi, and the resulting masterpiece blends bass influences with stunning piano and lush synths, making this one for the books.
The boys make it look easy to be turntablist and synth/drum pad masters, and with the combined lyricism of Sayyi, they know how to bring all of their musical perfection into a short 1:42 length track. The only complaint is that the video is not longer, and the look we get into seeing them make the track in real time is an added bonus!
Watch the video and listen to the track below.
E.A.S.Y., for a lack of a better word, is absolutely easy-listening influenced electronic music that everyone can get behind. The genius behind DMC champion DJ’s, Enferno and Shiftee, are that they’ve become absolute masters of their craft. They know what can hit the ears and strike the heart, and their newest song “Like That,” accomplishes this with stunning ease.

E.A.S.Y., made up of two producers that embody what it means to be a true DJ, have just released their second original single “Coming Around Again” today. This track follows the duo’s (Shiftee and Enferno) well received official remix of fellow no nonsense DJ and former DMC champ A-Trak of his track “Push” and a parody video of Andy Samberg’s SNL skit “When Will The Bass Drop?” It’s clear from all of E.A.S.Y.’s previous offerings that the two have no problem poking fun at the music industry they’re involved in and also having a little bit of fun while doing it.
“Coming Around Again” is their strongest offering yet, and sits at the intersection between hip hop and EDM, successfully bridging the two genres.
BONUS: Listen to E.A.S.Y.’s “Fly Away”:
E.A.S.Y., the turntablist duo comprised of DMC champions and world-class goofballs, Shiftee and Enferno, unleash their brand of hotly tipped trap-stylings on the latest single from A-Trak, “Push”. These two consistently bring something fresh and exciting to the table, whether it be their skills behind the decks or in the studio… expect more from the lads on their meteoric rise to the top.
