Doctor Dru & Adana Twins – Juicy Fruit

We just received this new video from Shir Khan and Exploited Records, their latest release is “Shir Khan presents: Black Jukebox 01″ that sees them dip their toes into the world of disco edits with the launch of new sublabel Black Jukebox. On the first effort we see contributions from label regulars Homework as well as introducing the Hamburg axis better known as Doctor Dru & Adana Twins. The latter lead the way with their slo-mo housed-up boogie-soul joint “Juicy Fruit”. Early support comes from top players such as A-Trak, Round Table Knights, Sinden, DJ Sneak, Oliver $, Digitalism, James Friedman etc.

Crying For Hollywood (Shir Khan remix)

British artist James Yuill has been something of a staple here on Discobelle with his folktinged dreamy electronic pop. He released his sophomore album “Movement In A Storm” (released by Moshi Moshi) last year, it comes with single “Crying For Hollywood” (that drops next week) and a remix from German club mogul Shir Khan that spruces up the track with a polished discoey feel to push it to the dancefloor.

Exploited Records 3 Year Anniversary

Back in 2007 German dj/producer Shir Khan started up his label Exploited Records and since then the label has grown into a force to be reckoned with within the dance music scene. Next week – Friday Oct 16th – sees the label indulge in a birthday bonanza at Villa in Berlin with an all-star line up of dj’s including Italian but London based Deadfish mogul Mowgli, Berlin duo Malente & Dex, label head Shir Khan, Amsterdam duo Homework, Swedish world travelers Savage Skulls, Berlin dj/producer Jack Tennis and special guests Siriusmo & Jan Driver + local Malmö girl Gnucci Banana will be performing live and those who have seen her wreck havoc on the stage will know that Villa will most likely be left in shambles after her gig.

We’ve also got a special treat for those of you that prefer your parties in the mp3-format, 8 banging tracks courtesy of Exploited Records. Enjoy!

If You Came Here

Hard working German producer/dj and head honcho of Exploited RecordsShir Khan – just finished up this remix of the track “If You Came Here” (other remixes comes from Brodinski, L-Vis 1990 and Malente & Dex) by heavy hitting Swedish producer Tony Senghore.

Le Cheval

Le Cheval is apparently the product of Brazilian producer DJ Chernobyl fusing elements of the tango sounds of Southern Brazil with house and cumbia. It’s also the name of Chernobyl’s recent release on German label Exploited Records (run by Shir Khan). One thing is certain, this is funky and danceable to the max. Check the remix from charttopping Australian duo Yolanda Be Cool below and get ready to shake your booty.

Habibi

German tag team Malente & Dex returns with the three track “Habibi” EP (released on Exploited Records), each track comes with a little ethnic flavour.

The title track leads things off by conjuring up some Middle Eastern vibes complete with sitar loops and an hypnotizing spoken sample. We have the tasty Shir Khan remix that shakes things up with some galloping bounce for you, it has already gained support by the likes of Mastiksoul, Laidback Luke, Mowgli, Trevor Loveys, Radioclit, Jamie Anderson, Oliver$ to name a few.

Lorenz Rhode

Exploited Records (operated by Shir Khan) coming at us with yet another fine release, the “Motor Cortex EP” (comes backed with remixes from London producers Mowgli & Solo + Ben Mono) from German producer Lorenz Rhode.

Lorenz Rhode is this former house kid who now makes music that sound a little something like this: “…Rick James dating Chaka Khan, dancing to Daft Punk and Technotronic, making sweet love to a Stevie Wonder ballad, when suddenly a group of German robots and a Yellow Magic Orchestra come rushing into the hotel suite and… they all decide to go to France instead.”

Act Yo Age

Sydney duo Act Yo Age is the latest signing to the Sweat It Out label (started by Australian top dj Ajax) and they came prepared to bring you the bounce with the release of their “Hott This EP” (comes with remixes from Edu K, Dre Skull etc. It drops on October 18th, check Beatport to pick it up). Their tracks are complete bangers filled with elements from baile, basement, b-more, rave, acid and their only mission is to make you party and sweat buckets. We got the In Flagranti remix of their anthem “La Fumo Loco” for you to blast.

BONUS: Shir Khan gave us his “TROPICAL-JACKIN-GOSPEL-POWERHOUSE” dub remix of the track “The Flash”. We also received two bootlegs.

PS. Act Yo Age are mixing the next Mix Comp for Sweat It Out and if there is anyone out there that would like to submit stuff, feel free to drop them a line.

UPDATE: More Act Yo Age action over at Discodust and Big Stereo.

Hyperactive

The crazy Texan producer Bird Peterson – or Bird Heaterson as he should be called – put together a ravey breakfilled bass monster of a remix. It’s his take on the track “Hyperactive” from German duo Malente & Dex (the single was just released by Shir Khans label Exploited Records).

Mash It Up

Our favorite german dj/producer, Shir Khan, once again comes correct with this bouncey remix of the track “Mash It Up” from London electroduo The Young Punx. This is destined to make the club go wild with its baile funk drums, sharp stabbing synths, blaring sirens and sweet breakdowns. The track is taken from the Japan/England vinyl release on MofoHiFi Records but you can also find it on Beatport.
