The club smashing single “Boom Ha” from Smalltown Romeo was just released by Plant Music.

The original “Playboy Anthem” was on our Scion sampler and now it is time for Top Billin to release the remix EP.

“Ealier this year we were asked to do a track for the Scion/Discobelle free compliation and could not use samples. So we think wtf, what do we do now. Made a disco beat, called our boy So Hot It Hurts, who always puts down fun lyrics and came up with Playboy Anthem. HIPHOUSE FOR THE NEW GENERATION. The tune became an instant classic and tells a true story too, when SHIH was working at a golf club, bored and trying to get his swing on.

Remixes come from Smalltown Romeo, Rico Tubbs, Joyce Muniz & Shanti Roots, DJ Edgar, DJ Beware & Motorpitch, Act Yo Age, and the Bootycall boys, Marvy & Kaptain Cadillac. We we’re supposed to put the instrumental of the original there too, but can’t find it anywhere.”

Calgary party duo Smalltown DJ’s are Discobelle fam and they’ve been making our mouths water with their mixes, remixes, live sets and various other projects. Here they use the Smalltown Romeo project to remix fellow Canadians in dancehall/house/electro/hip hop duo Bonjay and turn the booty shaking single “Gimmee Gimmee” into more of dubbed up discofied experience that still will make you wanna get down. Other remixes in the single package comes from Bonjay themselves along with Montreal bass monster Poirier and Grahmzilla of Thunderheist fame.
