Malmö producer Joel Carlsson, better known as Joelito gives us a sweatinducing banger with his kuduroesque and handclapfilled remix of the new Boogaloo single track “Xibaba”. The production duo known as Boogaloo has Portuguese roots, their first release “Mkwaju” came out on Moveltraxx a while ago and they now return with the 4 track EP “La Digue” on Austrian label Big’N’Hairy. Other remixes comes from So Shifty, Big Dope P, Cocotaxi, Tipanic, Daniel Klauser etc.

Mean Bucket is a label straight out of Prague and with their sixth release, they give us a handful of remixes that are based on the tracks from the excellent Berlin based producer/dj Tvyks EP “From Prague To Berlin”. New release “From Prague To Berlin: Remixed” features party starting takes from producers such as Chrissy Murderbot and So Shifty. Today, our first release MVSEVM – French Jeans is released all over the internet (iTunes, Juno, Amazon, etc). We are really happy with all the positive response we have been getting from everyone (great support from a lot of DJs, played on Kissy Sell Out’s show on BBC 1 two weeks in a row now, Big Tune of the Week on Joe Ransom’s show on Kiss 100).

The three men of Mvsevm could be techno retirees, but these men got together to stitch up beats, bleeps and blissful synth interludes that would light up the bleakest of the Dark Ages. The sound is massive and minimal at the same time, the beats flutter ahead rigid as a North Korean military parade yet the groove is elastic like that of virgin leggings. Contradictions! It has been a while since we started to look for something worthy enough for us to release on Discobelle Records. When we found this Finnish trio in MVSEVM we knew we were on to something big. And big it is. This was what we were looking for.

We also wanted to work with some of our favourite producers on the remixes, so we went hunting for people who could spin this around and give their own personal touch to the track. I think we and they did good.
