Belly Dance

Solo – Midget Mix September 2009

Italian born but London based producer (where he works with Mowgli, Zombie Disco Squad etc) Solo sent over his latest mix which is filled with some of that midget house goodness. Cracking stuff as always. You should expect big things from him this year with his own work + remixes for among others Jahcoozi, Crookers and Depeche Mode.

After posting the superb Raph summer mix last week, we can now give you a break off track from the mix which is his very own “Africa” remix of the track “Tivoli” by Swedish superstar dj/producer Steve Angello.

Maps – I Dream Of Crystal (Solo remix)

The Italian producer Solo now resides in London where he churns out top of the line remixes that we and alot of others enjoy immensely. This remix of new Maps single “I Dream Of Crystal” (first one off the album “Turning The Mind” which will be out September 28th) continues in that tradition and mark our words, Solo will be one producer to watch out for. On this remix he gives us that funky tropical techhouse that will set dancefloors ablaze in no time.

Solo – Fabriclive Promo Mix

Solo is doing his Fabric debut next weekend in the the “Batty Bass” room and he celebrate with a mix!

Solos got two massive tracks out at the moment. First his own “The Big Stef” with remixes from Nat Self (Zombie Disco Squad) and Riva Starr and second a remix of DJ Gregory and Gregor Saltos track “Con Alegria”. There is a big chance that both those tracks will be in our set this week. Buy both of them over at Beatport! Layo & Bushwacka – Love Story (SOLO remix)

Solo is working hard dropping new solid releases at high speed. The split “Congo Fire EP” with Congaloid + “Dance” with ZDS are both huge and in a couple of weeks “The Big Stef EP” will be out on Deadfish. Deadfish is owned by the really talanted producer Mowgli and I’m really excited about this label and its future. Together Mowgli and Solo are dj’ing at Studio B this weekend and it’s the friendly people over at Palms Out who is hosting the night. Hosting? Do I need a table reservation?

Here is a new SOLO bootleg, unmastered and fresh out the oven. Taking the big room house down a bit, making it pretty chilled out but still ready for the dirty clubs this weekend.

Btw: The pic has nothing to do with the song but it’s from what might be the best Swedish movie ever. Guess which one!

Zombie Disco Squad and Solo

Today we celebrate Nathaniel Selfs birthday!! He is throwing a b-day bash in London tonight with a solid lineup! Congratulation homie! Sorry, I can’t be there today.

Zombie Disco Squad and Solo did this banging mix to celebrate their new release on Dirty Bird. The EP is called “Congo Fire” and it came out yesterday on Beatport.

ZDS have also done some exclusive blends to encourage people to join their mailing list – basically you send a email to zdsmailinglist@gmail.com and get a auto reply with two blends/bootlegs. Members of their Facebook group are going to get an amazing exclusive very soon as well.

Solo is about to drop a new EP on Deadfish (Mowgli’s imprint) witch features remixes from Riva Starr & Nat Self – Solo has also done a remix of one of the ZDS tracks on their new EP on Institubes sister label Sound Pelegrino.

You should also check out the new ZDS EP on Made To Play (they will be releasing exclusively on Made To Play for the rest of the year and hold a residency at the M2P night at Panorama Bar in Berlin).

Solo – January mix

New mix from our boy Solo over in London, full of that “midget” goodness.
