Swedish artist Alexander Sjödin doesn’t fit most of the archetypes associated with electronic music. Under the moniker Sailor & I he explores a territory that brings to mind the melancholic, ambitious and richly orchestrated songwriting of Sigur Ros or Bon Iver, as much as the deep house/techno class such as Solomun and Dixon. His debut album “The Invention Of Loneliness” will be released via Skint on February 24th. As a precursor we can premiere the fantastic teched out and club ready Johannes Brecht remix of newly released single track “Chameleon”.
Just in time for all the weekend extravaganza, here’s the latest Discobelle mix for y’all.
Henri (AKA Henrietta Tiefenthaler) is London born dj/producer/singer that now resides in Los Angeles and she brings a smoothly done mix of housed up joy with tracks from the likes of Solomun, Hot Since 82 etc. Bump this and enjoy the weekend!
Diynamic boss man, Solomun recently offered up his latest, artist EP in the form of ‘Samson.’ This release see’s a departure for the Hamburg based producer stylistically with a decidedly darker, richer and more ‘techno-based’ sound palette on tap.
Available on Beatport now.
